Cats Love It
My cats love it. They love batting at the toys, scratching it, and simply laying on it. My kitten however managed to pull the toys out on the first day. I had some toy bell balls from a different cat toy order on hand, and I was able to squeeze them through the holes. However, he chewed at the holes and managed to get them out with ease. He still loves it though. It keeps him from scratching at the floor.

Worth it for stubborn 4 year old
This product got my cat to actually convert to a box instead of scratching the furniture. The balls got her attention first.

My 9 month old male loves to take out the balls. My 2 year old female is not interested in it at all, even with cat nip. Update :The Female now uses the scratcher. Good item for the price.

Multiple cat households, expect a line!
My crew of cats give this a big paws up. With 5 cats we go through a handful of cardboard scratchers every years and it's been awhile since I've seen them form a line upon unwrapping a new one. Of course, the catnip may have had something to do with that. Usually the included catnip is old and unappealing and I have to use our on-hand stock to entice them over. The catnip packet included with this scratcher was almost a fine powder and I didn't hold out hope that it would be any different, so I already had our stock nearby. Didn't need it. It smelled quite fresh. I liked that the powder melted into the grooves of the cardboard instead of just laying on top. I wish I could get more, because sometimes I don't feel like cleaning up more nip debris after a particularly good exercise session. It is very hard for me to consistently find this wide of a cardboard scratcher which accommodates my large siamese and orange tabby so well. Those boys need exercise the most and they often only spend a minute or two with other scratchers because they can't rest on it. We didn't have any issues with the scratcher moving around the floor with an 18lb cat attacking it. The play balls were a welcome addition. They popped out pretty quickly which led to a hunt. Some may not like this as you may be reaching for a grabber to go fishing under the sectional sofa, but I don't mind because it carries on the activity further and engages them all. Plus you can add in your own toys. If you have never purchased a cardboard scratcher before you should know they all have a bits of cardboard come off them as they scratch. So if you are cleaning for company, don't put out the scratcher right after you vacuum. Put it out right before. Our cats have multiple scratching surfaces to utilize, so we often put the scratcher up at the end of a few hour period and then take it out a few days later so that it is "new" again. I was pleased however with despite the great amount of claw love this scratcher received this evening, there were fewer cardboard bits than normal. Might even prove to last longer. The cats have already asked that this model be added to their list for Santa Paws.I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own. My cats know nothing of currency or discounts, but have a strong positive opinion on this scratcher.

Nice!
*Disclaimer- I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. All opinions are strictly my own.*So, I was barely able to get it out of the Amazon box before my cats pounced on it and immediately wanted to know what new toy I got them to play with. They heard the jingle of the balls rolling around and went nuts! Nice addition to an otherwise ordinary scratching pad. The holes are large enough their kitty paws can fit in and bat the balls around but the balls won't come out. Even my dogs try to play with them! The scratcher itself is a good size. An adult cat can fully fit on it quite well. There is enough catnip included to sprinkle over the entire piece... mine aren't really seduced by the intoxicating lure of catnip but if your cat is a lush, there is plenty to go around. The box itself seems sturdy enough. I mean it's not meant to last forever but it's well made and your frisky felines will get a very nice amount of usage out of it! Overall, good product!
