Our handcrafted ceramic eggs can be used as nest eggs, arts and crafts projects, or decor. BACKYARD POULTRY PROJECTS: Encourage young laying hens to lay their eggs in nest boxes by placing 1-2 ceramic eggs in each box. Also used to increase production by discouraging "pecking" and breaking of freshly laid eggs. ARTS & CRAFTS: Ceramic eggs can be decorated and used for keepsakes / gifts at Easter and Christmas. Most ceramic-friendly paint pens, permanent markers, acrylic paint and nail polish can be applied for decoration. HOME DECOR: Displayed in decorative baskets or bird nests in the home.

Beautiful & Rugged!!! PERFECTION!!!
These worked — As soon as I put them in my young hens nest box, they immediately started laying in their nest!!! They look so real, but the beautiful robins egg blue helps me differentiate from the real eggs. Also, I’ve dropped him several times from a pretty good height, and they always survive.

Realistic look and weight
Very convincing eggs. I really think my ladies can’t tell the difference, so that those who can’t count are never distressed when they return and find the nest boxes empty. (One lady, Maude, who is the boss, still gets distressed because I think she’s the only one who counts the eggs!)

Fooled my roomate
I have my roommate look after much chickens while I'm away at work. These things are so realistic, she collected them and put them in the refrigerator with the other eggs.

Perfect normal-egg-sized rocks to fake the ladies to lay eggs
These are perfect. They are the same average size of the eggs my chickens lay. The colors help us to distinguish which ones not to grab, lol. (WE got the pastel colors).

Great for Egg Eaters
These were perfect to help with egg eaters!! I made one mistake... Don't use them all in one place or you'll get a broody!!

Looks real
Has a little crack on one egg but still solid, we use it in the nesting box so it's fine.

Great for a laying strike
My girls went on a laying strike and then started laying in random places instead of in the nesting boxes. I thought we'd give these a try. They have worked and our egg production is picking back up!

Doesn't taste like an egg and hard to open
Thought these were emergency rations. Didn't taste good and were hard to open. Chickens thought they were eggs too. I guess you have to be at least as smart as a chicken to buy these.
