This Book Changed me for GOOD!
Have you ever said, “I can’t invite people into my home, not with my life, my food, my people?”“Extraordinary Hospitality for Ordinary People” shows how off-base this thinking is.With wisdom and creativity, this book details doing life together in such a way that brings joy to all and glory to God, not stress and panic. That is radical. This, I want to be a part of. Highly recommend for you, to give as a gift and for your small group.Who knew ordinary Christians could be used in such a powerful way—pizza, rowdy kids and all?

Great Gift Idea
Victoria Duerstock's Extraordinary Hospitality book is a lovely book with a strong message. The book reads like a coffee-table book with beautiful pictures, but is smaller and easier to hold. It is full of helpful tips for decluttering, cleaning, meal planning, and recipes. The message is encouraging: Be yourself and use the gifts God has given you to build relationships with others. It's not about impressing others, but about giving others a place to be heard. I love the line from page 29, "We don't all have stages from which to speak, but we all have homes with doors that can be opened." I plan to bless my friends with a copy for Christmas gifts. I also think it would be a great wedding gift . I need to stock up!

Extraordinary book!
I just received this book in the mail today and I am loving it so far! This book is serving as a great reminder of using what God has blessed us with and letting go of the pressures of a “perfect” home before inviting people into your house. Life is messy and we can ALL relate on that level! I can’t wait to try out the yummy recipes included and incorporate the cleaning tips into my routine. I also love the size of this book and the photos are beautiful - all around great book!

This book is beautiful! I have been eagerly waiting for my copy and it has finally arrived. I’m so excited to dive in and learn about extraordinary hospitality. I’ve already flipped through the book and the photos are gorgeous. My family is looking forward to welcoming more people into our home and making them feel welcome and loved. We now have a wonderful resource to help us do that well.

Bad Editing
This is a beautiful book. But I do agree that the photos of large and lovely homes, expensively decorated sometimes defeats the author’s purpose. Also, the front matter states that all Bible references are from the King James Version when clearly several of them are not. (For example the references to Psalm 32:7 and Hebrews 10:21-23 are actually from the NASB.The editors should have noticed this.)

Gave me a new definition of hospitality
Awesome book and loved how she defined out hospitality as not just entertaining. This was an eye opener for me. I cannot wait to try some of the recipes. I will be finding non traditional ways of hospitality after reading this book. I love how Bible verses relating to hospitality is spread out in the book.
