WOW!!!! What a great concert. Freddie Mercury and the entire band where awesome!!!! Wish I had of seen this concert live, but the DVD Video is the next best thing. Love this concert!! The last tour Queen ever did with Freddie and one of the best by any band ever!! Lots of great songs. Freddie's performance is so amazing here. The sound is great. Once in a while there is a little distortion in the video but somehow it doesn't distract from the great delivery of some of the best songs ever written!! Loved it. I great surprise was the Friday night concert included. Freddie's voice is in better shape and he really relates to his audience. Perhaps because the filming of the Friday concert was more of a practice run for the film crew for the Saturday night filming. The band in general is very relaxed and it is a great concert. A real plus was the improv performance. Creation in motion with Freddie's amazing voice . To cool. A must have for anyone who loves rock and roll

Hey Amazonians, as the tag line indicates, I'm not a massive, gotta have it, fan of Queen BUT I do really love their music. I'm not even sure that a review is really required because if your like me, you either want to see Queen in concert our you don't. Since this is the space where I'm supposed to go to actually write a review, I will. Overall: Excellent. I really, really enjoyed the DVD concert. The stage was massive. The songs where classic. The pace was excellent. There were also a BUNCH of song's I had never heard of (casual fan, remember?) and those ranged from soulful, melodic and beautifal ballads to rip-snortin rockers. It was like a box of choclates; You never know what you will find, but you know you like choclates. Freddy was a pro. I never did see them live and I'm still kicking myself. This was as close as I got and I was not disappointed. I found this DVD to be an excellent enterainment bargin. P.S. Call an old friend today and tell them you love them. Joy to the world.

I admit I became a true Queen fan late in life. I've known their music for years, of course, but never saw any performances to fit to the music. Then, I got my copy of Live Aid on DVD. To say that Queen ruled that show from on high would a MAJOR understatement. That performance was incredible, amazing, and completely once-in-a-lifetime. I was hooked. When I found this DVD on Amazon, I promptly ordered it. I wasn't disappointed. The group hits the stage running, and all engines firing. The sound is wonderful, and I really enjoy hearing the crowd roar along in sing-along mode or in approval, it makes the whole concert DVD experience like stepping back in time to actually be there. Some have taken exception to Queen doing old rock standards like 'Tutti Frutti' and 'Hello Mary Lou', but I feel they did those to just have fun with the show and the audience, so just enjoy it. The whole presentation is top-notch, the picture quality is outstanding for 19-year-old video tape recordings, and the sound will blow you away! Honestly, VERY few artists have innate showman and performance talents. So many try, but that's really all they do. Freddie Mercury had a God-given gift to own a stage by sheer presence alone, not to mention what the man could do with his voice. We really likely won't see his like again in this pre-packaged age we live in now, which is a true shame. Get this DVD and enjoy the amazing talent on display, and keep it in mind when you see a concert on TV, and just appreciate what true talent is.

I never saw q queen live but this video is second best. Felt so real, so alive. A must for any Queen fan.

This is the second best Queen concert video. If you want to get only one, the Montreal one is the one to get. The Montreal video production is quite good, the stage lighting and the cinematography is great, so is the sound recording. The only negative is it does not have the latest songs. If you want to get a second concert for your collection, get this Wembley one, it has lousy (SD) video, but you get to see the whole concerts (both Friday and Saturday) with the latest songs. The Friday Wembley concert is hilarious due to the rain. The Budapest concert is the worst, they interject other videos into the concert to bleep out Freddie's frequent rants, thus disrupting the concert flow.

危機を乗り越えてのライブ。最高です。4人は目があえば微笑みあったりして、関係の良さが伺えます。 フレディの声は絶好調。若い時よりも深みが増していい声です。 ロジャーのバックコーラスがいい。高くて嗄れた声だけど声量があり、全体を引き立てています。 彼らが選び抜いた耳慣れた楽曲ばかり。アーティストとしての実力のほどを堪能できました。 DVDなので視覚的な感想も述べます。 ４人そろってこんなに美しくて好まれる容姿をしているバンドは珍しい。フレディは顔の骨格がしっかりしているから年とってもきっと崩れなかったでしょう。ロジャーは太ってきているけど、まつ毛がどれだけ長いのか。ブライアンの指がものすごく長くて、ギターを奏でる手は視覚的にも美しい。ジョンは加齢の変化がない。 日本人の私は観客の肩車に違和感を覚えます。外人は後ろの人の迷惑を考えないのか、後ろの人は文句を言わないのか、と。 何はともあれ最後にはブライアンとロジャーの語りもあり、内容的にはとても満足できるものでした。 リハーサル場面は画像が悪いけど、これもフレディの素の実力を聴けます。 Disc１と２は、同じコンサートの別の日で楽曲はほぼ同じですが、私は飽きずに見聴きすることができました。

Queen - Live at Wembley '86 ist eines der größten Rockspektakel, das es jemals gegeben hat. Die Band um ihren Frontman Freddy Mercury leistet an diesem Tag (und am Vortag wohl auch) eine Leistung, die die Musikwelt prägte. Es ist unglaublich was diese 4 Musiker für einen Sound mit teilweise nur drei Instrumenten auf die Bühne gebracht haben. Das Schlagzeug, der Bass und die Gitarre klingen so als würde ein ganzes Orchester im Graben vor der Bühne sitzen. In manchen Liedern spielt Freddy Mercury natürlich als viertes das Klavier, was in vielen Liedern den Queen-Sound erst perfekt macht. Freddys Stimme bei diesem Konzert ist der helle wahnsinn, sie ist absolut facettenreich, abwechslungsreich und einfach genial. In diesem Konzert spielten Queen fast alle ihrer größten Klassiker. Die Titelauswahl möchte ich als perfekt bezeichnen. Die Lieder reißen einem immer wieder aufs neue vom Hocker. Auch gibt es ein sehr schönes Gitarrensolo von Brian May, was nicht durch übertriebenes Tempo auffällt, sondern einfach duch eine sehr schöne Melodie und einen prima Klang. Zwischendurch vertreibt sich Freddy Mercury die Zeit mit Spielchen, die er mit den 125.000 Zuschauern spielt. Freddy zeigt, dass er der Entertainer schlechthin ist. Kurz vor Schluss gibt es ein paar Stücke, mit denen man vielleicht nicht unbedingt gerechnet hätte. Zum Beispiel die sehr ruhigen Lieder "Love of my Life" und "Is this the world we created?", aber "you gotta slow things down a little" wie Brian May sagte, damit es am Ende zu einem gewaltigen Höhepunkt kommen kann. Und den gibt es bei diesem Konzert mit den Klassikern "We will rock you" und natürlich "We are the Champions", bei denen die Stimmung im Publikum und auf der Bühne ihren sprichwörtlichen Siedepunkt erreicht. Die DVD bringt die Energie und das ganze Feuer dieses Konzertes so gut es geht rüber. Die Bild- und Tonqualität ist einfach atemberaubend. Man kann dieses Konzert voll aufdrehen und es klingt immer noch fantastisch. Zusätzlich verfügt die DVD über schöne Extras (Interviews, verschiedene Kameraperspektiven zum Auswählen und andere Konzertmitschnitte). Alles in allem ist es eine fantastische Doppel-DVD, die jeder Mensch, der etwas für Rock-Musik übrig hat, kennen und besitzen sollte. Auch für Menschen, die andere Musikrichtungen bevorzungen, ist sie empfehlenswert, da sich die Queen-Lieder allesamt auf einem kompositorisch sehr hohen Niveau befinden und sehr schön anzuhören sind. Dieses ist definitiv ein Höhepunkt der Musikgeschichte, den niemand verpassen sollte.

Nunca pude comprar esta edisiòn por darle prioridad a otros dvd, pero siempre me quede con la inquietud de comprarlo. No se si es el mejor concierto de Queen, pero creo que es el mejor editado en Dvd o por lo menos el que màs me gusta.

Ich finde es absolut daneben, wie hier manche an Freddies gesanglicher Leistung herummäkeln. Manche Pseudo-Musikversteher scheinen förmlich nach Dingen zu suchen, an denen sie rumnörgeln können. Kaum jemand hat sich wohl mal bewusst gemacht, dass es sich hier um das vorletzte Konzert der Tour handelte und es doch wohl ganz natürlich ist, dass irgendwann die Stimme ein bisschen leidet. Ich gebe gerne zu, gesanglich war seine Leistung z.B. in "Live at the Bowl" besser, aber wen interssiert's? Freddie war in Wembley absolut in Höchstform, auf keiner anderen DVD hat er mich so mitgerissen wie hier. Die Atmosphäre bei dem Konzert war einmalig, so etwas wird es nie wieder geben. Wie er quer auf der ganzen Bühne "herumgeturnt" hat, beim dritten Song schon Schweißperlen auf der Stirn, wie er das Publikum quasi mit dem kleinen Finger dirigiert hat und wie dieses auch mitgemacht hat... Einfach grandios. Man könnte fast denken, dass er zu dem Zeitpunkt schon geahnt hat, was ihm nach dieser Tour bevorstehen würde. Eine Art Abschied von den Live-Konzerten, wie es auch Roger Taylor auf der zweiten DVD gesagt hat. Auch wenn es nicht ganz Freddies beste Leistung war, so ist mir diese von allen Queen-DVDs, die ich habe, am liebsten. Es gibt so viele schöne Momente auf der DVD, die man sich auf keinen Fall entgehen lassen sollte. Trotz einiger leichter gesanglicher Probleme bei dieser Show: Er bleibt der beste Rocksänger und Entertainer aller Zeiten, und das nicht nur, weil er jung gestorben ist. Also, liebe Leute, nicht von einigen Nörglern abschrecken lassen, sondern KAUFEN! ES LOHNT SICH!!!
