Study Guide with Student Solutions Manual, Volume 1 for Serway/Jewett's Physics for Scientists and Engineers, 9th

Like others have said, it doesn't include answers from all the questions but that won't stop me from giving it 5 stars. This book is responsible for me doing so well in physics 1 (which I am retaking) and I will definitely be renting the same for when I take physics 2 next semester.It came in "Very Good Condition" which basically looks brand new, no pages missing.I would definitely recommend this to anyone struggling in physics like I did.I also LOVE how the solutions that it does include also includes the ENTIRE QUESTION, not just the answer. Now THAT is awesome considering I will be using a different book next semester which means I won't have to buy the book along with it.

When I was trying to buy this on amazon, I thought I was buying a solutions manual, as stated in the title. Looking back in the description it says it only has 20% of the questions answered, but I did not see this. So if you are looking for a solutions manual DO NOT BUY THIS. For example chapter 2 in the actual textbook has 85 problems (counting end of chapter problems alone, not additional examples). This solution manual provides answers for 16 of those end of chapter problems. Yes, its solutions are helpful for those selected problems, but most of the problems it works out are odd numbers, which have the answers in the back of the book anyway. I have a solutions manual for my organic chemistry textbook and it has every single question worked out, cost the same amount as this book, and is only one volume. The fact that they could not even work out 16 problems of every chapter without trying to charge you more money baffles me. If you want to buy this for the "study guide" sure i guess. I don't know how helpful it would be, but maybe it would be for you.to further prove how terrible this book is as a solutions manual here is the number of textbook questions / solutions answered in book for a couple more chapters:CH 3: 85 / 13CH 4: 89 / 17CH 5: 104 / 20I actually do not understand how they are legally allowed to sell this as a solutions manual.

It's very thorough and informative in its solutions, but it DOES NOT have every odd numbered question from the textbook. They tried to pick out representative problems to solve, but if you're stuck on one there is no guarantee the answer will actually be in here.

The item came as described and on time. The only problem with the book is the book only explains selected questions. It did help my solve problems they were assigned but would be more beneficial if it included explanations to more questions.

Although there are not all ans for every question, it provides clear strategies for solving problems. It's really helpful for me!
