Excellent, if pricey
The media could not be loaded. I was fed up of our patio umbrella wobbling around and falling over in any kind of breeze - plastic bases with sand/water in them seem to swell in the sun, causing them to wobble, and are never really sturdy enough in the first place. This seemed like the only good alternative I could find with universally positive reviews. It's pricey, but of really high quality and really well thought out. Easy to assemble and use, it really is the Rolls Royce of portable/moveable umbrella stands. It just shrugs off strong winds.

Works well, but required a small modification
At time of writing I've had this for a week in use with a 3m tilting parasol and so far am pleased with it. I've tried concrete bases and sand filled bases before and they were either too heavy to move or couldn't hold the parasol upright in a breeze, particularly when the parasol was in the tilted position. The Baser solution is both easy to move and stable in breezy conditions. I also like that it is easy to disassemble for storage. The one initial irritation was that, with the canopy in the tilted position, the 38mm wide aluminium pole of the parasol still tended to revolve in the base with the slightest gust of wind. I remedied this with a single wrap of mesh anti-slip matting around the section of the pole gripped by the Baser arms. A little disappointing, but with that relatively minor modification it works just as it should.

MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED
Delivery was extremely quick and very well packaged. The stand is robust and very nice looking; so much better than my old water filled base. I used bog standard building sand to fill the bags - plastic liners are provided - and the strong handles make positioning the bags in place very easy. I have a massive rectangle parasol which is now held firmly in place.

Brilliant product
We have had so many different bases fo4 our washing line and they have rusted or broken ,leaving us with a wobbly rotary washing line . Even before breaking some have not coped with the line and it has toppled over leaving the washing on the ground. Not with this product! It is absolutely brilliant , holding the washing line securely . We are going to purchase more for garden umbrellas .

Fast customer service
The parasol base looks great (in the pictures), ideal for easily moving our (large) parasol around the garden - I hope!?! It ships directly from the manufacturer in Germany and in our case appears to have been delayed for a week somewhere between Germany and the UK. I chased this with an email (through Amazon) to the company and received a very polite reply within 2 hours! We’re now hoping to receive it later this week ...

well designed and strong
Once filled with sand (not included) the bags need quite a bit of muscle to lift them, but that means they do the job of anchoring the base very well. The locking mechanism is a bit fiddly and tens to attract snails looking for somewhere to shelter, but works fine. Parasol raised successfully.

Excellent and High Quality
It's an excellent base compared to ones traditionally used to support parasols. Indeed, this kit is an innovative, sturdy, and on the top of high quality. The maker's communication is par excellent as well should there be any problem. Overall, a great product. !!!

Brilliant
Very sturdy, i have a 3.5m tilting parasol which just blows over in the slightest gust of wind in the two normal bases i have. Not with this one though. Having separate weights is really helpful. It looks smart and works really well, have used it in fairly windy conditions and it flexs a bit but that's a good thing and doesn't blow over. Recommended!
