Great purchase
Purchase this for my son science fair he wanted to do a mega train. It was a easy but hard experiment assembling takes time reading instructions properly and definitely have fun while you’re doing it. The blocks were good quality. The magnets were good quality very educational and very fun teambuilding skills that you learn while doing this project.

So fun
Had a blast putting this together with my daughter. She pretty much did it all on her own. The plastic track was a tad bent, and the train was getting stuck so I helped bend it out. Worked great afterwords though. She got an A+

Potentially fun but also frustrating to assemble
The idea and the concept behind the Magnets Science Discovery Kit are worthwhile exploring and potentially fun to play with. The major disappointment is the assembly part if one wants to entertain the idea of putting together the MAGLEV. The plastic corners, being 3 on each side, need to be closely aligned and properly spaced to allow for the train to move unhindered, which is a major problem. They need to be glued and aligned on the wood pieces, which also need to be aligned. These plastic corners also tend to bend and warp. A problem that could have been easily solved if, instead of 6 short corner pieces (3 for each side), the kit would include instead 2 long ones. You can mess up things with the glue quite easily since the magnetic strips also need to be glued on the train track which is made out of 4 pieces of wood. If these are not aligned (or stay aligned while mounting the rest), the all thing becomes a huge glue puddle trying to adjust all the pieces in position.

Okay not complete
Got this for my kids science project. Had to get some additional items to finish project. Wish they included everything that's needed. Two sided tape and little stronger magnets would have been helpful. Gave 4 star as it needed additional items to finish project.

Cannot be completed by middle schoolers; pieces missing
I ordered 10 of these for a science camp I was running. Two of the sets were incomplete (one had 4 instead of 5 wooden blocks and the other had one fewer plastic guide rail than was required), which is a pretty large percentage. The kids (6th and 7th graders) followed the directions given in the box to make the magnetic train but none of theirs ended up working because their measurements were not precise enough. For 6th and 7th graders, they did a great job using the rulers we supplied to measure and glue and we all thought they were going to work. However, the plastic guides ended up being too close together so the train could not levitate and instead was impeded by the guides. I am sure that these could be made to work by adults, but not by 11 and 12 year olds, as advertised. The kit itself could not be completed without additional supplies, which was not indicated anywhere on the Amazon listing.

Not very good
I bought this for my physics experiment and it does work well somehow, but not as expected the wood blocks were wrong in size and the magnet was not that strong so it doesn’t it did not meet my expectation fora price this high
