Will this fit my surface pro 3?

Yes. I am using this with my surface pro 3 without any problems. In fact, I use my surface pro 3 a lot more now because this keyboard is so much better than the original

Will this fit on the regular surface 3?

Yes - the Surface Pro 4 keyboard is slightly larger than the Surface 3 keyboard. So using the SP 4 keyboard on the Surface Pro 3 machine - it will extend ever so slightly beyond the screen when you close it. However they are functionally interchangeable. (the same is true with the power supplies - functionally interchangeable).

Is this compatible with the surface pro 6?

it works with the Surface pro 4, and Surface Pro Gen 5 (2017) no problem. Have not tested with Pro 6.
