Impressed with the winds this stand is able to withstand. Glad I got this one over many of the others available.

We love it. It is much less intrusive than the nasty giant hunks of plastic most places sell. The sand bags are very heavy but easy enough to roll into containers for winter. Those sand bags have held the umbrella in place without a table around it for over a year through several storms. We do close the umbrella when it is not in use, but this is still the first stand we have owned which has held so well. The only reason it is not getting 5 stars is that it is difficult to get the collar in place tight enough to prevent the umbrella from spinning in fairly light breezes when we want the shade on sunny pleasant days.

Works great. Paid less than $9 for sand at Lowes to fill the base bags (water bladders would be a nice improvement).Umbrella's sit lower in this stand than Traditional stands because there is no weighted base under it - thus the canopy will be lower than with traditional stands. I fixed this with a cut-off closet bar/dowel and wood discs cut out with a hole saw. This raises my umbrella about 8". There have been no issues with this fix. I would have secured the umbrella pole with this extension, but it doesn't seem to require that.Also, there is no way (as purchased) to secure the umbrella so it does not turn in the base. I will make a fix for that as well - likely drill through and secure with pin or a bolt.

These look better than a bag of sand so I give them a good rating for that but they are not as effective as I had hoped. They came with a sand that is very flimsy and the umbrella is still top heavy when opened so these bags do not totally stabilize the whole assembly.

I was skeptical when first ordering, but very pleased with the product that arrived. It's obviously very sturdy and the pieces are well made. I love that it's made in Denmark as the whole thing kinda has a Scandinavian feel to it. It looks a little bit weird maybe, but for me the most important thing was to actually keep the umbrella upright even in some wind. Normal weighted bases simply can't accomplish that simple task in my experience (unless you're putting it through a table too), and the wide stance of the legs on this thing and the 100lbs of sand are more than up to the task.(note, it's a bit of a pain to go buy your own sand and fill the bags yourself, but once it's done it's done and never needs to happen again)

I looked long for an umbrella stand without needing a table, can be easily moved, and does not take a huge foot print. I found it!! I found this product online in Europe before it was available in Amazon. Finally the seller made it available in Amazon. I ordered one to test and made all my requirements, so I am going to order another one.

Not good

The base is very easy to set up. It is usually very windy around my house. After setting up the umbrella and base, the wind was blowing. The base was very stable. It passed the first test.

This seems like a reasonable solid umbrella base but it unfortunately doesn't work with my umbrella. The sand bags seem good, you just fill them with sand yourself.Note this is meant for stand alone umbrella, if you have a table with a metal part that the umbrella goes through, this stand is unlikely to fit underneath.

Der Ständer ist schnell aufgebaut, der Sand gekauft und in die Säcke gefüllt.Auf unserer Seeterasse weht oft ein stärkerer Wind, daher brauchen wir 4 Säcke mit ca. 80 kg Gewicht.Die halten den Ständer auf dem Boden aber der Schirm wird schon mal aus der Halterung gezogen.Trotzdem ein sehr gutes Alternativprodukt zu schweren üblichen Ständer.Allerdings ist der Preis für das Gebotene nach meiner Ansicht nach sehr hoch....

Ich habe dieses Produkt für einen Produkttest kostenlos erhalten, dies beeinflusst meine Rezension jedoch in keiner Weise.Im Sommer immer das selbe, man liegt entspannt unter dem Sonnenschirm, die Sonne wandert, und man ist gezwungen, mitzuwandern. Wäre es nicht besser, wenn der Schirm sich bewegt, und man selbst entspannt liegen bleiben kann?Problem bisher, die mobilen Schirmständer sind fast alle immer megaschwer, da tonnenweise Gewicht dran hängt, oder so wackelig, dass der Schirm bei jedem kleinen Wind umfällt.Mit diesem Schirmständer wollte ich es noch einmal wagen. Denn - so das Versprechen - er soll auch bei sehr windigen Orten stabil stehen. Probieren wir es doch einmal.Der Ständer ist schnell aufgestellt und der Schirm fixiert. Da wackelt erst einmal nichts, und der Schirm hält bombenfest. Das beste, dies auch ohne die Sandsäcke! Klar, bei Wind würde der Schirm abheben, aber erst einmal fällt der Schirm nicht um.Nun also die Sandsäcke, befüllen mit Spielsand (normaler Sand ginge auch) und rauf auf das Ständerwerk - und wow, das befestigt den Schirm enorm. Selbst bei Wind wackelt es zwar ein wenig, aber nichts kritisches. Da muss der Wind wirklich schon ordentlich wehen, damit etwas passiert. Da hält man es wohl auch nicht mehr auf der Liege aus, wenn es so weht.Das Auseinanderbauen klappt dann auch wieder ganz einfach, allerdings am besten zu zweit - alleine wird es schwierig, es muss der Fixierungsring hochgehoben (und bestenfalls gehalten!) werden, um dann den Schirm wegzuheben.Ebenfalls super - der Schirmständer lässt sich easy in Einzelteile zerlegen und damit ganz einfach transportieren.Also - ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Schirmständer.

Dieser Sonnenschirmständer ist schnell aufgebaut. Es war nicht mal eine Anleitung nötig. Das Prinzip zum fest machen der Stange des Schirms ist simpel - ein Zahnklick system. Je weiter herunter man den Ring zieht, desto fester die Stange. Als Gewichtbelastung können die beigefügten Säcke mit Sand gefüllt werden. Danach kann der Ständer auch nicht mehr kippen.Die meisten Komponenten des Ständers bestehen aus Kunststoff und mir leuchtet nicht ganz ein, wieso man so viel Geld (130 EUR) dafür verlangt. Deshalb 3*.

Der "Sonnenschirmständer Heavy Duty für sehr windige Orte und große Sonnenschirme, mit befüllbaren Sandsäcken als Gewichte, für Schirmdurchmesser bis zu 3,5 m, hergestellt aus recyceltem Material" stammt aus der Manufaktur des Herstellers "Baser". Er wurde sowohl zügig als auch gut verpackt in einem Karton von angemessener Größe geliefert.Alles was für den Zusammenbau benötigt wird, ist bereits im Paket enthalten (je nach Lage vor Ort empfiehlt es sich natürlich trotzdem mit einem Kabelbinder oder Ähnlichem nachzuhelfen). Das Material wirkt hochwertig und robust. Die Verarbeitung macht einen sehr guten Eindruck: Die Nähte sind sauber gesetzt, es hängen keine Fäden heraus und es gibt keine Fehlstellen an der Oberfläche zu bemängeln.Die Funktionsweise ist im Grunde selbsterklärend: Die beiden Säcke werden befüllt (in der Regel dürfte hier Sand das Material der Wahl sein) und dann auf den Fuß des Sonnenschirms gelegt. Dies sieht deutlich besser aus, als ein klobiger Schirmständer und hält auch besser, da der Fuß enger umfasst wird. Inwiefern dies jedoch den Preis rechtfertigt, muss jeder für sich selbst entscheiden.Fazit: Von "Baser" gibt es hier ein paar nützliche Gewichte um einen Schirm gegen Wind und Wetter zu wappnen. Da es abseits des Preises keine Schwächen zu erkennen gab, kann eine Kaufempfehlung an dieser Stelle mit gutem Gewissen ausgesprochen werden. Sollte sich an diesem Eindruck noch etwas ändern, wird es hier entsprechend nachgetragen.
