10/10 worth the effort
Very fun project, you can tell the manufacturer put in 100% attention to detail. The instructions even tell you just how to glue on the green dust to the outer wall to replicate the pattern of the crawling ivy in the movie! Some of the pieces are extremely tiny and the grass/ivy pieces make a mess so make sure your set-up is well-lit and easy to clean. Precision glue and tweezers are a must. The instructions are in Japanese but it’s pretty straightforward, and I used Google translate on any text I was unsure about.

Super small, super fun!
I loved this kit! It is *very* tiny pieces, definitely not for kids. But it was so peaceful to work on this. Very straightforward, even without being able to read the instructions. I did some extra stuff with mine, putting it in a dome instead of on the included base. Also I added some extra flower material, I didn’t think the included flower sand showed up enough against the green. I look forward to doing more of these kits.

Exquisite
I have wanted this so bad for so long. Finally, I was able to buy a kit and I am blown away! Even though the directions are all in Japanese, the illustrations and number of you-tube videos will make that a non-issue. I can not get over the quality of the laser-cut pieces, the detailed illustrations printed on them, and the absolute beauty of the kit itself. I'm a little afraid to start building, it's been such a dream, but it opens up space for a new one! I will update my review after building, but I don't think it will change.

Takes time and patience. Don’t be in a hurry. Enjoy the process and it will be very rewarding.
This was a really fun project. I would have given five stars but the instructions are only in Japanese. But, I was able to follow the diagrams for almost everything. The pieces are mostly VERY small. Tweezers and precision glue are must haves for this. I even had to use a magnifying glass for some parts. I was worried the included moss and other foliage, wouldn’t be enough, but it was plenty. This is NOT a project for a child or someone without patience. I liked it so much, I bought the Ponyo kit and am working on it right now. I just wish I could find some Spirited Away buildings, as opposed to the paper craft items of that. I’m adding to my review: I found a free app that will translate the Japanese instructions into English, and many other languages. It’s called Google Translate. Install app. Use phone camera and point at instructions and voila, translated! I wish I’d thought of this on my last house.

THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!
Obviously this is for the folks that like small detailed crafts but I loved every minute. The pieces fit beautifully and they are laser cut exact. It took me about 12 hours all together to put it together. A craft knife, toothpicks and "good" stick glue is all you need.

Loved making it
I loved how small it is. Very easy to follow instructions. Loved it when it was completed. Looks just like in the picture. I build them just for fun. Take up a lot of my time which I love.
