As far as I can see, my review will be the first from a real purchaser and user who does not give professional reviews for ratings. I've been using this to charge AGM 12v 9AH brick batteries. It works like a dream. Highly recommended. 5 stars. It is FULLY automatic. Simply attach charger to your battery and plug into the wall socket. Wait 10 seconds for the charger to test the battery. LEDs will light up for the Type (AGM), Voltage (12v). All you have to do after that is push the Start button, and walk away. Once charged, it will switch to trickle mode, and it will stay there indefinitely. Couldn't be easier to use, and very very safe as well. My charging habits takes about 5 hours to get a full charge per battery. It stays at room temperature every time. I've never once felt it getting hot to the touch. This is absolutely the best charger for the price, hands down.

I purchased this for work to keep car battery voltage from dropping when updating car software. it will keep it from dropping just fine. the battery clamps are cheep. they should be a little bigger to fit onto the battery terminals.

I'm still learning about this charger. One has to set the voltage of 6v or 12v. Then select Type of Battery; reg. leaded, Lithium, or 4life. I bought it due to the battery selection. On first use I was disappointed as it didn't shut down as expected when charging up a Mini Cooper. I charged up the GMC overnight and found it did shut down. The size and technology are a plus. Well worth the investment.

It has one job to do - maintain a charge between uses on a vehicle that remains idle for a month. Failed while I was out of town, 13 months after purchase.

Am on my second unit. The first lasted a year or so finally outside for some time as I had believed it was water resistant (waterproof means it can be submerged, like a Rolex watch) as it seemed to survive rain and hail, etc. However, on opening it showed obvious signs of a leak at one point midway along a side and no gasket. Will wrap silicone tape around the casing joint on the new unit: not up to Rolex standards but adequate for my needs. Opening showed a very well designed and manufactured unit with two substantial rectifiers. But for the lack of water resistance would not hesitate to give 5 stars as the charger is excellent to use for a range of battery types including lithium Ion. Four amp capacity means that a sluggish auto battery with an hour charging connection can run the starter motor. My experience with high amperage starting chargers is that the life of the battery is shortened considerably. Ease of use is provided by long power and charging leads and a cigarette lighter connection so popping the hood is unnecessary though crocodile clip connection is provided. Manual states that battery connections should be made first before the power connection. No explanation why nor the effect if not followed. If this is important there should be a sticker on the unit to remind those users not blessed with total recall.

This is the best automatic smart charger for home use. Small but powerful. Ease of use. I just plug it into my onboard Indian Chieftain motorcycle's OEM 2-prong battery tender plug (AGM battery) to charge and for smart storage maintenance. I also use it to condition and charge my full-size truck's lead acid battery using the included positive and negative clamps. This charger includes the positive and negative clamps, an SAE 2-prong plug harness, and a 12-volt plug. I have been using this company's products for a very long time. All of their products are excellent for professional and industrial use. This particular smart charger is the perfect size and has features second to none. The price is excellent also. excellent quality in solar products. it do what i need i use it on my bike's battery. during winter. when comes spring i fire my engine like it's july battery is fully charged. great for the car too you leave it and it does the job of recharging very satisfied.

This maintainer will not loose it’s memory in the event of a power outage less than 36hrs, a very important feature if you are using it for a seasonal vehicle.
