Fenwicks Eagle Telescopic Trolling Fishing Rod

Really nice fishing rod. Good feel, great size for mountain trout but strong enough for larger fish as well. Comes with a nice carrying tube, could be a little smaller, but tube is probably used to fit several size rods. I have fished with this several times and have been very please. I'm using a 4lb line and very light panther martin spinners (1/16oz). The light action rod is great at sending the lure a long distance. I'm casting much further than with my stiffer rod and the same light weight lure. I'm glad I went with the light action.This is the most expensive rod I own, but I would purchase again and definitely recommend to a friend. I wish Fenwick still made their products in the USA, but you can say that about most things now days. It is still a very well built rod. The colors are classic, and and the gold fiber really pops in the sun.This is not some cheap Walmart rod. You can tell the difference the first time you look at it and the quality really shines the first time you use it.

Performs as advertised...A legitimate, sweet little Walleye-Jigging travel rod, with a spot on, modest price tag. If you're aBoundary Waters junkie, it's an easy pick. The alignment of thetip eyelet is not perfect, but I'm probably far to particular aboutsuch things. Clearly the solid rod performance matters most.FYI: The rod is versatile for multiple applications and fish speciesand additionally, Fenwick includes a quality Travel Rod Case!

After 4 trips, I would say this rod delivers on everything it promises.Quality rod, once assembled, I don't notice any difference from my other rods.I bought this for my finesse baits and I feel everything. I've brought in bass up to 3 pounds without any problems at all. Even able to flip them out of the water over reeds with confidence. I love the 7 feet on this rod. I'm able to cast over taller reeds from the bank when needed.Rod is a med light fast so it took me a few times to adjust to how much I needed to twitch to give my baits action. A little goes a long wayMy only concern was the rod pieces banging into each other while in the case. It might be overkill but I put soft foam dividers to keep each piece separate.I will update after a few more trips to see how it handles big fish - I'm trying!

This is a great rod with plenty of backbone in it for a medium rod. It came with a travel case but it doesn't have inside pockets for each rod piece.the case feels like it could take a beating but the zipper feels weak and like it will come off. It is like any other Fenwick rod and very well made. The only real complaint that I have is there is no markings on the rod to line up the pieces of the pole, this isn't a requirement but it is the little things that make great quality into fantastic quality.

This rod exceeded expectations! Its incredibly flexible, smooth and very well made. But the 'killer app' is the cork full length handle.

Excellent rod construction, nice cork handle and reel seat. The rod is sensitive when fishing small lures with great strike feel even if it is a three piece rod. Rod pieces fit snug and stay in place when casting. The rod hard case is perfect when securing to the motorcycle for a weekend of riding and mountain stream fishing.

First time out the rod broke. I barely touched the rod and could not believe how easily it broke. Some people have had good luck with this rod, not me. The rod looked good and came in a nice travel case. Kudos to Amazon for the prompt refund.

Quality product. I keep this bad boy in my car because you never know when the bait will bustin' and you need to wet a line.

Ordered Rod.Waited for fishing rod for a few weeks,called into Amazon customer support,Was told that the rod was out of stock and it would be shipping as soon as it is back in stock,The rod shipped the next day after calling Amazon,Received the rod.The rod looks good.I get to go fishing on a long weekend,started fishing with the rod.Fish on, reeled it in, got it into the bottom of the boat, 7Lb Northern Pike...the pike demolished my line, snip line and start tying a new knot. Rod snaps with a high-pitched "ting".I cursed very loudly and immediately regret purchasing this rod.Depression seeps in as we travel the 50 minutes back to shore to get my backup rod which was left in the box of the truck.Nice sensitive rod, while it lasted.

Great fishing rid, clearly Fenwick quality. Sturdy case that is somewhat too big, inserting a rag inside with the rod solves the problem and prevents damage.

Great travel rod. Nicely packaged and is the quality you expect from Fenwick
