Q: what type of aluminum is this?

I am not a metalurgist nor have I heated it and put it under a gas spectrometer, but it seems like it's aluminum.

Q: What will I have to get for the trim ?

Bent Aluminum diamond plate 1 inch from edge to 90 degree and then cut of the other end an inch.... i.e. 2 inch strip bend at 90 degrees in the middle.

Q: To use as wainscoating in my garage, what would be the best way to attach it? I'd prefer to adhere (glue) rather than mechanically attach.

I’m sure most any mastic like glue would work. ( linoleum flooring glue, cove molding glue, etc. ) I’d spread it with a finely notched trowel. Contact cement would work, either brushed on or the 3M stuff in the big spray cans. This material is really thin. I’m guessing it would work fine. I wish it came in 5’ wide pieces! Cheetolini is a national embarrassment.
