SKSGermany Secu Clip V-Stay Kit for Full Fenders

I received the style of protective caps in the second photo, the round ones. They are 380mm, and I cut them to fit very easily with bolt cutters. Word to the wise, mount them and get them dialed in, then cut the excess with bolt cutters while they are mounted. Exact fit for the caps every time.Make sure you mount the quick release clips on the front wheel before you cut. They are meant to pop the fender off if a stick gets lodged between wheel and the fender so that you don't get thrown over the handlebars.My fenders are very old ESGE bluemells, before the company changed names to SKS. So if you're wondering if this will work for your 30 year old chromoplastics, it will. Just cut off the older clips.

I made the same mistake as everyone else and cut a v-stay too short.The secure clip and v-stay are the identical replacements for my chromoplastics, but the little black caps are different from what is pictured.

These stays are great for moving the old fenders to a new bike or a change is clearance. They aren't the most secure and do rattle a bit.

In the first installation of the fender set, I cut the supplied stays a bit short, so needed replacements. Kit had all the necessary parts, making replacement easy.To avoid fitting issues like this, I'd suggest to first trim too long, then test ride a bit, and make adjustments from there. This can avoid a lot of unnecessary aggravation.

This stay/strut kit is the same as others labeled as 380mm. The SKS stuff is better than the Planet Bike and somewhat interchangeable. The SKS struts are thicker and the black QR sockets are better than Planet BIke. The nuts are not interchangeable due to the fender tab's hole being bigger on the Planet Bike - the SKS nuts wouldn't fill the hole properly. I did have to drill out my Planet Bike nuts just a tad (from 1/8" up to 9/64" or 5/32") to allow the SKS struts to pass through the bore, but it was easy with just a hand drill.

Move my fender to a new front fork. Stays were to short. Didn’t realize there was a replacement kit. They were a perfect replacement. An easy fix.

came with no hardware. only the metal v shaped stays. No eye bolts, nuts, or caps.

I ordered these after I cut the struts that came with the original feel design a bit too short. One of the reasons I chose Sks was because of the availability of replacement parts.

Ordered this as a replacement for some 350mm stays that were too short for my bike. When they arrived, they turned out to be exactly the same size as the 350mm ones. Assuming this was a mistake on the part of the seller I returned them flagging the discrepency and asked for a 380mm replacement - they resent the 350mm ones. Extremely irritating and a waste of time.
