Good for cleaning pine tree needles off mobile home awnings
Used this Gutter Getter set along with other tools (hoe, rake with small plastic head) to clean the 10-foot deep awning on my mom's mobile home...let's see, 10 feet X 35 ribs equates to about 350 feet of gutters- on the BACK awning. It hadn't been done for at least 7 years. Despite multiple offers, she seldom allows anyone to help but is over 80 now, so she allowed it.First I removed the thick mat of pine needles, by reaching the hoe out as far as possible and dropping the end repeatedly along the mat to make a long cut, then rolled up sections like sod and maneuvered the rolls off the edge.Next I used my own small-headed rake then the Gutter Getter bent arrow shaped scraper (kind of like a claw) to pull the pine cones, dirt and little seedlike tree fallout down each little trough toward the awning edge so I could scoop it all out (love the strong, lightweight, narrow Gutter Getter scoop). All while up on a ladder, of course. There were 9 big lawn litter bags of needles and stuff to haul away.We had a week of perfect weather in the 60's and got the back awning done in 3 afternoon sessions, hopefully the weather holds until we can get the front awning done as well (hey, give me a break, I'm 65! 😃)

Does the job quite well.
I found this to be a very useful tool to clean out gutter leaves. It did not come apart on me. It was light and the head was the right size to scrap the leaves and get under the gutter holding braces. The hook to hang it off the gutter when not in use is thoughtful. Once you get the hang of it you will move your ladder a lot less. I was skeptical in ordering as I dread gutter cleaning and I have a garage full of hacks, wire hangers and broom sticks through the years but I was quite surprised. It’s a very handy tool. The gutter scoop however was useless and clumsy. Just grab the leaves with a gloved hand.

Rake was great, Scoop was satisfactory
I decided to try cleaning my gutters myself rather than hiring someone to do it and this kit helped make the job fairly quick and easy. The rake, in particular, was the rock star of this kit as it allowed me to only have to use the ladder in two spots for each side of my house. The scoop was merely okay, but that was mainly because it was too large for my gutter because of the shingles on my roof.I was able to use it, but since I would have to squeeze in the edges to get it in an out, anywhere from 1/2 to 2/3 of the mud I would scoop out would just fall back in the gutter. It still did the job and I didn't even have to wear any gloves. Each side took only about 10 minutes to scoop out what seemed like 5-10 lbs of mud (that smelled like Pegasus must've been doing some fly-by dumps on my roof). Now, if only it could fix the fact that my gutters are all sloping away from the drains...The only potential issue I found with the rake is that I found that the last piece would twist off a little as I using it. It wasn't a big problem, as it only happened twice throughout the full project, and I was able to just tighten it back up quickly. Nevertheless, I really loved the rake and feel like it probably saved quite a bit of time especially considering I'm an obnoxiously heavy dude who would've hated having to move the ladder every few feet to do this job without it. Overall, I'm definitely happy with this purchase.

Good idea, poor design
I clean A LOT of gutters, and the idea of this device is a good one, but its design is flawed. You are supposed to be able to reach further down the gutter from where you are on your ladder and pull gutter debris towards yourself. Maybe if the debris is dry and loose it would work okay, but if the debris offers any kind of resistance, the handle comes apart! They should have designed it so that each piece screws to the next, but two of the connections are just where you slide the one into the end of the next piece. It is definitely very light duty. The gutter scoop is very handy, but mine cracked when it was accidentally dropped.

It really works well.
This simple, inexpensive gutter cleaning system works pretty well. I cleaned 450 feet of nasty gutters with it and it made the job relatively easy. You will still need to use a hose to rinse out the gutters after cleaning but the Gutter Getter make that pretty easy.

A must have for cleaning gutters
I have about a 6-8' stretch of gutters where it's impossible to position a ladder for cleaning. The hooking tool in this kit is absolutely perfect for pulling the leaves and junk in the gutters towards me to remove by hand. It allows you to scrape the junk from the front and back edges of the gutters very easily, too. And you can angle the tool effectively around the gutter support brackets to pull the gunk under and through the brackets as well. The scoop accessory is basically useless, though. Just use the hook tool to pull the junk towards you, than remove by hand. There is simply no avoiding getting your hands dirty while cleaning gutters. This is a must have if you have a stretch of gutters that you cannot effectively get to by hand with a ladder. And it also helps stretch your reach further so you don't have to reposition the ladder so many times. I can do the whole length of my house with 4-5 positions of the ladder, where as before I'd need at least 7-8 positions (and still couldn't effectively clean the stretch where iI couldn't get a ladder). This saves time, so this is a very worthwhile tool to have available!

It worked
Used this product today 03/03/19 it worked as promised it is a little flimsy but the worked in my favor because the shingles hung in the gutter so the shovel needed to be flexible to maneuver in the gutter and it worked the scraper thing also worked but oddly enough once you put it together it is hard to take it back apart for storage but that's not a deal breaker. anyway if you bought this thing enjoy
