4L PCC MOTOR PS37 FOR PW50 PW 50 PLASTIC SEAT GAS TANK KIT - Red

My son loves his PW! His favorite color is red so this turned out really great now waiting on his graphics.

The fit on the bike is poor,

They seem like decent quality plastic and are pretty flexible. My complaint is that the main piece that the seat bolts to is too narrow for the bike’s frame (1999 PW50). You really have to force it down to get it to sit against the frame, and then it wants to pop back up as soon as you let go. I wasn’t comfortable putting that much stress on the plastics as I didn’t want the mounting tabs to break off. I ended up using a heat gun to soften the plastic, then reshaped it while it was hot. It worked well, but you shouldn’t have to do this to brand new parts that are advertised as fitting your bike.

Overall it all fit ok on 2019 PW50. My son wanted red so I bought this kit and black rims. The red tank and fenders colors are different but with a sticker kit it should look ok. The tank volume is slightly smaller than stock as we overfilled the new tank when transferring the fuel from the stock tank, maybe 1/4 Gallon or less. Fuel line barb is a little smaller on the new tank. The original hose had to be replaced with a little smaller diameter and about 2" longer. Also the rear fender sits much higher above the frame than stock. Lastly the seat is 1.5" maybe 2" higher and the fit between the seat and tank. Height should not be an issue with the training wheels. But for thr price you can't beat it.

They fit good. The only issue I had with them was that the tank and fenders are a different color of red. The tank isn't as bright.

Can’t say enough good things about this plastic! Completely transformed my son’s PW, he won’t even believe it’s the same bike.
