Worked nicely for my 2019 4Runner (Entune Nav/audio system - CD above screen)
The only complaint about my new Toyota 4Runner is that the 6" navigation screen sits flush in the dash console (a bad design by Toyota) - any sunlight light causes terrible screen glare/washout so I have been looking for a solution and tried this product. The Navishade arrived quickly, easy to assemble - slides securely into my CD player slot. So far it has decreased most glare by 80-90% - depending on how the light angle comes into the windows. There will never be a perfect solution but this was close. It did not interfere with any of my control buttons or knobs and didn't require cutting anything out for knob access on my system which was a concern after reading some reviews (I can't say how it would fit in someone else's setup only mine). You cannot use the CD player when the hood is inserted (Not sure why people would even ask that question) but not a biggie since I use my iPod/SateliteXM/Radio all of the time -I rarely play CD's and it pops out easily if I do want to play a CD. NOTE: My CD slot is a standard 5" wide opening. The plastic molded inserts on the shade that go into the CD player are only about 4.75" wide max, fits fine. Negative: I felt the price was a little high for 3 pieces of molded plastic (but then again it works pretty darn good so the price didn't keep me from recently ordering a second one as backup in my glove compartment unassembled in case I break this one on of my many road trips).

works great, fit is okay
This works really well in a 2013 Prius V to help reduce glare. It doesn't fit perfectly, so the sides let in some light. It doesn't look great, but it is so useful for its safety value, it is totally worth keeping.

Helps to see on those sunny days
Really helps me to see my navigation system in my 2011 jlJuke which is old and does not have the great view as modern devices. It fits right into my CD player slot. I purchased one for another vehicle as well. Definitely serves it's intended purpose.

'14 Tacoma - shade doesnt sit flush
3 stars for my application. Kinda expensive for what it is, especially given it doesnt really fit right. It still works well enough but theres a decent sized gap all the way around. It wont push into the CD player all the way, gonna need to trim the plastic to see if i can customize it. Also it presses against the volume/tuning knobs on the entune, but i rarely use them so thats not a huge issue for me.

Very disappointed does not fit my vehicle screen too small
TOtal waste! DId NOT really help much at all. The sun light still shines and the screen. I want something to help shade it so I can see my back-up camera and everything around it, outside but the sunshine makes it extremely difficult

Amazing For Sun Glare
I looked at a lot of these before pulling the trigger on this one. I'm really glad I did - it works so well! It's cut down on a ton of glare from the sun which means I can actually see my backup camera in the afternoons! I really appreciate that it just pops right into the CD tray - a lot of the others I was looking at had adhesive tape. This makes really easy to put on and take off whenever. I'm using it in a 2016 Subaru Outback, but the 7-inch size seems like a pretty standard fit.

Great purchase--exactly what I needed
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this fits and works in my 2015 Toyota Tacoma, which has a backup camera and audio display screen that is very prone to washing out in sunlight, sometimes to dangerous effect when I need the backup camera. Is it perfect in shading out 100% of the sunlight? No. Is it a significant improvement well worth the cost? Yes, definitely. I was a little concerned that sticking this thing in the CD slot would lock up the audio system into trying to play a CD all the time. Not a worry in my vehicle. You can always remove this screen if you *do* want to play a CD. Someone posted a review saying that in their 2012 Tacoma, they had to make cuts in the screen flaps to fit around the audio knobs. That was not necessary for my 2015 Tacoma. But I found that I got better access to the knobs, particularly the upper tuner knob on the right, by installing the side flaps backwards. In other words I put the right-side flap on the left, and the left-side flap on the right, so that the side flaps do not fit against the radio area but rather angle in towards it. This also eliminates rattling and gives a little more side-shading. Big thumbs up. Well worth a try for your vehicle if bright sun washes out your audio system screen.

Great but with some trade offs
Got this for a Prius 2015. Blocks the sunlight and makes it easy to see the screen. It’s solid enough plastic. Not flimsy. But I wouldn’t sit anything on top of it like a phone mount since it’s held on by small plastic pieces that go into the cd player. I would have liked to have that part a stronger material. But I don’t know if that would have damaged the cd player. It is an adjustment to using the volume knob so now I use the buttons on the steering wheel more. I have bigger hands so now I’m hitting the sun blocker when trying to access certain buttons or knobs. And I can’t even see the ones on the right of it without leaning over; from the driver seat. Thankfully I don’t use any of those. If I rarely do, it’s not while driving. Bottom line is, if something happened and I lost it somehow, I’d buy this same blocker again. There are some trade offs, but to me it’s worth it. Especially during more cautious, such as attempting to backup and gaining a wider view of my surroundings on the screen, compared to simply turning around to see what’s behind me. The screen’s wider field of view is particularly advantageous.
