Love them and use them daily
I started getting rid of plastic in my life a few years ago and went on a stainless steel, glass, bamboo and similar product buying spree. I try to drink a lot of water for health and found that drinking through a straw helps me to drink more. I found these straws during that buying spree. I love them - they fit in a large 40 ounce stainless steel jug or in the 33 ounce evian if I get lazy with Stainless steel and use a plastic water bottle. I haven't tried it in a big Evian - mostly because I'm trying not to use plastic at all, it would probably be long enough though - or at least long enough you could fish it out relatively easy. The glass sometimes does break if I am really rough on it but I'd say they are pretty strong considering it is glass. I keep it in the bottom of my purse and it hasn't broken in the bottom of my purse and I am NOT careful about how I put my purse down. It would break if, for example, it slips out of your hand /flys through the air and hits the concrete with enough force to break it. There are four in a pack so if I break one, I have back-ups anyway. I like the little cleaner too. At one point, worried about the glass - I bought stainless steel straws and realized how much I really like these instead. Glass feels more like you expect a straw too and these are see through like a plastic straw. All this said, I probably wouldn't purchase these or any glass straws for a child/ anyone requiring supervision but as long as someone can be relatively mindful (plus able to respond appropriately without harming themselves if one should break) then the straws are great.

The glass straws are fine. I feel they are ok because of their size. They are VERY long and stick way out of a tall mason jar. I recommend getting the shorter version.
