BLACK STARRust Converter - Converts Rust on Any Steel Surface - 1 Aerosol Spray Can

Followed the instructions and it worked. This is a quality product and easy to use. It came quickly and was packed well. I would recommend this product if you have a rust problem. Worked great!

Worked very similar to a bridge epoxy we used to use on weighbridges,turned the rust into a hard shell that a d/a with 180 grit barely scratched.

Black Star makes an excellent product, and it's remarkably effective at turning rust into a hard, black, enamel-like surface. I've found the liquid to be more effective, as I use a paint brush to apply a much thicker coat. Yet, the aerosol spray can is fabulous for applying Black Star to those hard-to-reach areas. A few suggestions for Black Star, which is what kept them from getting a full five-star rating: 1) The chemical is very thick, and I was unable to spray the liquid with a standard over-the-counter spray bottle. I thought the aerosol would solve this problem, and the chemical in the aerosol appears to be much thinner than the liquid, but even so, the nozzle kept clogging up. 2) The liquid is expensive, and is only sold in one-gallon cans. Why in the world are you unwilling to sell it in quarts? Some of us prefer the liquid over the aerosol, but don't need to purchase an entire gallon. 3) Your product is AMAZING!! In a perfect world, I would be able to buy a gallon of Black Star along with a hand-pump spay-bottle that was engineered to deliver a liquid of thicker consistency. Any chance of this happening? Thanks again -- Black Star has let me salvage many rusted items that would have had to be discarded otherwise. :) :) :)

Very impressive rust control works great

One of my college professors told me about this and it cuts the amount of prep time on rust down to light sanding the loose stuff weld up holes light coat of Bondo or filler sand primer paint or for that old look light sand two coats of black star and clear coat.

temporary fix covered up rust for a short period. Have two thirds of a spray can remaining due to the spray nozzle clogged and will no longer spray.

It does exactly what it says it will do. Recommend
