I bought this custom PS4 controller shell for my best friend for his birthday and the color shift option is SOO nice in person! I purchased the bottom piece of the controller to test it out and see how hard installing it would be before purchasing more pieces. To my surprise the installation for the bottom piece only is the easiest one. I later bought the top shell piece and buttons, and those in my opinion require a bit more skill to successfully install. So if you are looking to customize your controller but don’t want to hassle with taking the entire controller apart, I would recommend only getting the bottom shell piece. ALSO. These pieces will not work with unbranded controllers. If you try to put them on a non branded or non authentic sony controller the pieces will not line up correctly and you will be left with awkward gaps in the shell casing.

This housing is absolutely beautiful! It is glossy and smooth as silk to touch. The color is so rich and vibrant, and the shimmery chameleon purple/blue combination is magical! It fit my controller perfectly and was a breeze to install. I also bought the matching front shell from this seller. Both are good quality for the price, affordable, and look stunning together!The only downside is, of course, the glossiness making the controller slick during extended play times, but I knew that before I ordered. I'm a super satisfied customer! Thank you!

Pink one would not fit with Sony OEM JDM-055 top shell, or eXtremeRate’s own top shells. Also had a blue bottom case and that one fit just fine, seems like this one was just warped. Unfortunately for me, I only realized it after the return window closed. Be warned! Do a fit check upon delivery!UPDATE: After my review, I received a message from the seller, "play different". They offered to send me a replacement shell, which they absolutely didn't need to. The seller definitely went above and beyond with customer service. Because of this, I've changed my review from one star to four stars. The service was definitely five stars, but because the first shell was defective, and made me go through all of this in the first place, I had to only give four. Product itself is fine, when it works!

I bought this looking for a softer back plate for my controller. Given that this turned out to be a soft back plate, I'd say it does it job. Installation isn't difficult if you have some idea what you're doing, but it's still fairly simple if you don't. It's much softer than the standard hard plastic, while also providing a better grip. Other people don't seem to have had the same experience, but mine fit seamlessly. The only thing to watch out for is whether your control is compatible. If you're buying a controller from Amazon, the standard $64.99 ones are the right model.TL;DR it soft

So, the only issue I have with it, and it’s not even a huge issue to me since I don’t use it anymore, but just so anyone who does uses one, you can NOT put a Strike Pack on this backing! I tried to put mine on last to see if it needed updates, and since the back molding is slightly different, the Strike Pack doesn’t fit to the body of the controller, and the clip that goes around to the PlayStation button doesn’t fit either since it can’t fit the shape of the controller.

This piece does not snuggly fit onto the top piece of the controller, and it is missing a few important details… I was happy with the top of the controller piece I bought from this company tho

Installation was a bit harder for me than in the tutorials. I have the exact same model number but it’s a newer volume. But if I can do it, you can too!I included a picture of the back shell and how it looks up front.The shell has a sandy texture which adds a bit more grip and has a cute color 👍🏻

Missing the piece that is between the R1 R2 and L1 and L2 buttons

I'm happy with the fit and quality, but not the colour. I own this same pigment in nail powder and this looks like it has not been buffed onto the backplate well enough. The colour is a muted green with a vague purple shift, it's not as metallic and vibrant as it is in the image. Not so unhappy I want to return it, but I am disappointed.Edit: I think I found the issue. My backplate is GREEN with a purple shift. The picture advertised is PURPLE with a green shift. It's not even the same one advertised. Now I'm pissed.
