These things are an absolute joy
So far I have used these for metripack 280 terminals as well as open barrel splices. Generally (but not always) I have to use it twice. One size above what the crimp needs to be, and then the correct size. The ratcheting mechanism comes in handy for holding terminals/splices in the jaws while you fiddle with getting your wires just right.Keep in mind this will not crimp your rubber seals for metripack/weather pack applications. You will need a separate crimper for that.

Quality tool
This is by far the best crimping tool I've owned. Don't cheap out get this tool first so you don't have to buy a cheap one and return it.

Accurate and repeatable
I ordered this from the UK. Crimps are very secure, accurate and don't pull out. I'm using for 6 35mm automotive crimps and I'm absolutely satisfied. Reccomeded.

Beautiful crimp
Beautiful crimp. I liked the first pair so much, I bought a second one. However, the second plier was breaking terminals. I was able to send it back and got a replacement.

If you're doing crimps of open barrel splices, these work fantastic, and they don't cost $800.

Great for prepping RP1226 connectors
Used this for making perfect connections to non insulated flat pins for rp 1226 plugs, its not cheap, but its a solid tool for pro use.
