Wow, what a sequel!
I looooved book 1, Rage, of K.A Knight's Her Monsters series on audio and book 2, Hate, was just as good!! I thought the narration was on point, that both Celestine and Jason did superb jobs. I loved that even though Jason had so many male voices (more than book 1) to do, that he still changed them slightly so we could tell the difference before they said their name. It impressed me even more than it has done before, especially how different he sounded with the vampire vs Griffin vs Dume for example haha. I think Celestine did a better job in this one than book 1 with her inflections and emotions. I really felt this one (not that I didnt with book 1) but she really brought Dawn to life.In terms of the story, I think I actually liked book 1 better, but only slightly. I loved that we get to see more from Dawn's other mates and get more onscreen time with the mates she has already met. I loved her reunion with Nos btw. So freakin sweet in a book filled with rage, death, and gore. I thought the backstories were great and getting to learn more about these monsters was super intriguing and only made me want more. I loved the snark and laughter we get with Aska and technology, with Lucifer's nickname, with Magnus and no one knowing at this moment what he truly is. I felt so bad for Griffin in this one, but did think he got a majority of the book in terms of the various mates. Not that it took away from my love of it, just an observation that hopefully some of the others get more onscreen in the 3rd and final book. I think, for me, the reason I would give this 4.5 stars instead of 5 stars for the storyline is because I thought sometimes the steamy scenes outshone/overpowered the story. I think it was while she was in her cell and she went back and forth with the various guys and because of how the chapters were broken up it felt like she was nonstop having sex with them. I love steamy scene, don't get me wrong, I just think how it was sequenced and the frequency in that span was a tad overwhelming. Like if you have too much of a good thing in a short amount of time it diminishes it. Its better that they are somewhat spread out so when they do happen they are more impactful/special. Hopefully that made sense, it did in my head 🤣This series gets s 5/5 from me, I am like the other reviewers, cannot wait to see what K.A Knight does in book 3 with how this story ended. I won't give away any spoilers, but I hope this big baddy and the battle that will come will be even bigger than what Dawn and her monsters had to endure in Hate. I also hope Magnus is revealed sooooon because I want him and Dawn to connect ❤️❤️❤️

*sigh* This series is not complete and this book leaves a lot to be desired.
I don't usually write reviews, but I am so disappointed that I felt like I needed to share an honest review with my fellow readers. This is a fantastic series for the most part. That said, my biggest complaint is that the second book ends with an open ending that is supposed to be addressed in another book. It has been 2 years since this book was released and the author has not delivered a third book... it's frustrating to say the least. On top of that, the second book stretches out a storyline that should take less time by including a lot of sex scenes, which ultimately ends up stalling the story. Don't get me wrong, the mates' storyline is great and the scenes are hot, but the storyline is lacking and the sex scenes here seem to have been placed as filler to puff up the word count. The book ends on so many open ended questions and issues, all of which need to be resolved, but the author leaves her readers hanging.

Damn
I tried .. I really did. I thought this was a duo .. nope I was wrong oh so soooo wrong. I'm the reader who will wait until the whole series is out, this way I don't have to fret for months and months for the ending. Silly me, I wish i waited for the 3rd installment before devouring this rage filled love honed epic journey. I do not regret it tho, ill just read them again and again. Dawn and her monsters .. wow. That's what I have, wow. But when oh WHEN is the next one coming ?!!!! It was awhile between the 1st and 2nd but the 3rd should have been here by now if following the same time between books . Any whooo ... if ur reading this asking yourself if you want to take the plunge into the world of her monsters.. I'm here to tell you ... DO IT!!! 100% DO IT you will not regret it. Pick up the first book and do not stop until the end. Also maybe before this series read about those fallen gods, start with pretty painful and go to the end in pretty spelled. It is the same world, it won't change anything or alter this book in any way. But to me, I loved that I read about the bad ass dawn in their books then got to know her here. Any whoo .. what am I gonna read now! You?! Your gonna go n read Rage then come back for Hate .. kk happy reading !!!! You can thank me later .. btw nos is my fave

Crazy love this story
I had a great time reading this story. The first book is good and this book is better. So many things going on. There is action, some gore, suspense, and lots of steamy scenes all tied into this complex web of interdependence. I know there is much more to come and revelation with "Lucy" and Magnus. I can't wait to read the next book

A good following
To be honest, usually book 2 are deceiving compared to book 1.But this... This is just as good.Dawn and her mates are still as crazy, especially Griffin, and we get to meet some new ones.I can't wait for book 3 !!

Exactly what I needed!
Such a great book! Not only was the storyline very well written and executed, but the character development in this book was something that really kept my attention.Katie outdid herself with all the guys backstories and how they are all completely different but all very relatable in their struggles. The sexy scenes were all very raw, brutal and harsh but still with a caring undertone. Just how I like them. This book is not for the faint of heart. If you are squeamish by blood, guts and gore then you should not read this book but if you like an FMC who is a true psycho then you'll love her and all of her mystical guys.I really appreciated and enjoyed reading this book.

captivating
Totally enjoyed this read. I was pulled into the world and look forward to more. Usually I hate books that have cliff hangers, but this one is worth it.
