Complete Borrowers

Seven year old Grandson loves me to read this book to him. Vivid descriptions of events, magical and good story

As someone who already knows and loves The Borrowers, I already knew the stories I was getting. The thing I didn't expect was that this book would be so fat, but knowing this is a collection of five books, I really should've known haha and I am still happy with it! It's a beautiful addition to a bookshelf. The interior is just the same as the individual books, so the font isn't super teeny or anything, very readable in that sense. But it's probably more convenient to read the individual books than the one huge one. As The Borrowers isn't the most popular of books and thus doesn't have many editions, I am really happy to have this beautiful one!

I was looking forward to reading this book because I knew it had been a famous series, and I wanted to enjoy it first hand. I like the idea of miniaturization stories. Only trouble was, I was disappointed to find that the print of the book had been made so small that I found it disappointing because it was simply too small to read comfortably. True, I was able to read it as long as I did so with a magnifying glass in one hand, which I ultimately found to be tiresome at 2 am. With bigger print, this book would be great! As it is, I could never recommend it without the warning I have posted here. I wish a kindle edition could have been made available. In my kindle, I can control the size of the print.

Came quickly, great condition - I enjoyed these as a kid and now my grandson, an avid reader is enjoying them. Timeless!

The Borrowers (all books) were one of my favorites as a child. I re-read them about every 10-15 years. Just enough time to forget details so they are still enjoyable.

No childhood is complete without reading The Borrowers. It was a pleasure to buy these books for my grandaughter, who is loving reading them, just as I did. They are so imaginative.

The quality of this used book said good. The box it the series came in was ripped and the books were very worn. I think that GOOD rating should have been AVERAGE.

Worth the money. The print is fairly large. Quality is good.

Although "The Borrowers" series was written in 1952, it is as entertaining to children today as it was then. It was awarded the Carnegie Medal and a good story will always remain a good story no matter how old it is. I read it as a child and was totally entranced. I purchased the series for a great-granddaughter who, I am sure, will be equally captivated.

I haven't really read it now, I'm still happy to have bought this for so tcheap but the letters are a bit to small and the printing quality do not seem perfect, it will be a bit difficult to read, strange for children book. It should have been maybe a little more expensive but betterly made. Budget price should not meen bad quality.

Je recherchais depuis longtemps ces livres lus pendant mon enfance. A l'époque, ils existaient encore en français. Bien qu'en anglais, j'ai retrouvé avec plaisir dans ce recueil les illustrations d'origine (sauf la couverture) ! Bref, que du plaisir à lire!
