The Girl From the Other Side: Siúil, a Rún Vol. 5

This is the fifth volume in The Girl from the Other side series. I continue to really enjoy the simple fairy-tale like story and the unique illustration style. I am also reading The Ancient Magus Bride right now and this manga does remind heavily of that one.In this volume Teacher and Shiva discover what’s happened to Auntie and have more interaction with Mother. Meanwhile the King takes action to ensure the curse never spreads again and soldiers invade Teacher and Shiva’s forest home.I love the illustration style of this series; it’s so unique. I am also enjoying the story as we try to unravel the mystery behind this curse that turns normal people into monsters.Overall this was a wonderful addition to this series and I continue to really enjoy it. I would recommend to those who enjoy simple fairy-tale like plots with beautifully unique illustration. I definitely plan on continuing the series.

I love this story. For those who are impatient with the slow pace of the story, I feel this volume would be a good remedy, as more things are revealed, and more events start to happen. The characters also show a bit more depth than in previous volumes.

I picked up the very first copy of this in a bookstore thinking the art was very pretty, not knowing what to expect from the story itself. This has become one of my absolute favorite stories/manga I've ever purchased. Highly recommended.

This is a gift. Just looked at one of the books and unlike American books, this reads from the "back" forward. It is written in comic book format, but is readable and is what I was asked to get as a gift.

I love this series so much. I have most of the books and eagerly await the next volume. I honestly wish more people knew about this series.

This manga is really intriguing, I'm hyped for the volumes to come.

Had this on my "To Read" list for awhile and I'm glad I finally picked it up. I'm hooked! Interesting story, beautiful artwork.

Love the storyline and illustrations

Shiva is my spirit animal. Honestly, she is so pure and kind and strong willed. She inspires me to be better. This volume is focused on strengthening the relationship between Shiva and Teacher, and sets up what is to come in the final act, it's just a shame there is such a long wait for Vol 6!

Not as revealing as the last book but it pulls at the heart strings. A few revelations yet not enough to really understand the full effects of what is going on. I am still enjoying the series and there are funny moments that really stick out.

I love the artwork in this manga , it's rather dark but I'm looking forward to each volume .

This is one of my favourite series ever. The art and story telling is just lovely and so tender. I adore the dark and light contrast. I am always anxiously waiting for more! Cannot wait to see more from this story and author.
