Easy to Use
I recently bought a CF express card for my Nikon Z II - had been using XQD cards prior to this - so I now have both types - this card reader works great for either type card - nice to have one reader that works for both types of cards - been using this for a few months now - works great - super easy and fast transfer to my MacBook.

Works fine with a caveat
I use this to read CFExpress cards on my iMac and MacBook Air. It works fine for both CFExpress and XQD cards, but with one caveat: It won't "eject" a CFExpress card from the Photos App. You need to eject it using the "Finder" app on a Mac, which works fine. It works fine with XQD cards. I had the same experience with another reader, so I think the problem is with Apple and not the Sony card reader.

Amazing card reader, wished it was a bit faster!
Love this card reader, really great quality product. Only wish it read the cards a little bit faster. Overall, it’s been great!

Works with a Mac and USB-C hub
I bought the Sandisk reader and it did not work well with my Mac (OS 11.3) via a USB-C hub. It kind of surprised me because of the Sandisk name and experience. The whole reason I didn't bother with a less expensive no-name was I was afraid of incompatiblity. Kinda ironic. Sandisk tech support was unhelpful and blamed my hardware. OK. So I returned it and grudingly bought the Sony -- I really didn't want to spend $100 on a card reader. Kinda nutty. But it works with my Mac and hub, no problems at all. The speeds are what I expected and close to advertised max (for the reader not my cards which are nearly 2x faster). For the extra $50 I spend I can tell it's a tad better designed. For one the card pops in and out a lot easier than it did with the Sandisk. I couldn't "one hand" to eject the card on the Sandisk. The Sony pops the card out with just a slight push of the card. It's also slimmer which makes packing it easier too. The Sandisk is one bulky piece of plastic. (The Sony is plastic too, just not bulky). One odd thing I've noticed is that my CFexpress cards are a little toasty when I eject them but my older XQD cards (this reader is one of the few that reads both) are barely warm. I can't really account for why that is, but I haven't experienced any issues with my CFexpress cards as a result. I've read reviews of other readers complaining of hot cards so perhaps that's just the nature of CFexpress cards -- they run hot.

Worth the Extra $$$
Do yourself a favor and buy this over one of the much cheaper XQD/CF Express readers. I have 2 different XQD readers that I got off Amazon for around $20 each, and the read speed compared to the Sony one is a joke. Loading up a XQD card in Adobe Bridge and using full screen mode, using the Sony card reader, the photos are displayed full quality instantly on my M2 MacBook Pro. With the off-brand ones, there's a significant delay in fully loading image previews.

8X Faster than Direct From Camera
I have been downloading my raw images from my Z7ii to my PC via Lightroom for a couple years now. A 128gb card seems to take forever and sometimes the battery in the camera dies during the transfer which creates a hassle. So I bought this drive to see if it could improve the process. And it absolutely did. Transfer rates are about 8X faster plus I never have to worry about the camera battery dying mid-transfer. Definitely worth the imvestment. After reading many reviews for this Sony drive and it's cheaper competitors. I decided not to buy one of the cheaper drives.

No Fuss, Works With M1 MacBook Air!
I originally purchased a SanDisk Extreme PRO CFexpress Type B Card Reader for my camera's CFexpress Type B / XQD card. I've read a lot of reviews that said that the M1 won't read these cards. When I received the SanDisk, it didn't work with my M1.I returned it and looked at this Sony reader. The answered questions specifically stated it works with the M1 Macbooks and it does. Perfectly. I plugged it in and it worked. Yay!

Reliable
I had to go through two cheaper XQD card readers before getting this. Don't waste your time and money with other cards...buy this.
