I think grammar conventions are the least liked but the most important thing a student could learn in an English class. Too often it can be brushed under the rug because we assume that students know the grammar. This book is for the direct instruction of the parts of speech, phrases, and clauses; it also explains how and why they are used. It's a great precursor to the Grade 9 book that takes the concepts a little deeper.

This was the fastest delivery I have ever seen. I ordered the book on Tuesday after midnite and received it by Thursday. I asked for expediated shipping and that is exactly what I got!! In the future I will only use this seller. I have ordered from others and had to wait up to 3 weeks. I highly recommend this seller.

If you get this product, you should know that there is no answer page for any of the exercises. Sometimes answers are in the back of the book. Not here. It's a great book for the exercises, but if you don't know where the answers go yourself, you might have a problem.

NO answer key. I wish I had realized this BEFORE I purchased it and my son completed the first set of exercises. Now I cannot return AND I cannot ensure that he learns grammar correctly. Thanks Prentice Hall.
