Surprisingly great
More tekken than I expected to fit on a GBA cart. Decent roster and good controls. Only one punch button and one kick button rather than the usual 1234 setup, but otherwise very impressive. You can even use wavedash and Korean backdash if you know what you’re doing.

Low Tech-Ken
I've learned firsthand that you've ever bought a GBA port of a fighting game, you'd get what you paid for. With that in mind, I discovered and snatched a copy of "Tekken Advance." Of course it pales in comparsion to console versions because of the limited hardware, but you get the gist of what they're like if you don't own them already. While the GBA's 4-button layout compromises the gameplay, you get a ton of moves that are easy to pull off against a fairly balanced AI. Plus you can rotate around the psuedo-3D platforms. A minor nuisance is that if you, say, land a suplex, you get this ugly one-second cutscene. A major nuisance is that "TA" needs an extra cartridge for vs battles, missing the GBA's multiplayer capabilities. Man cannot live on 9 characters and 6 game modes alone. This game is rated T for Teen: Violence.

If you need some quick and fun game time!
I have always wanted to play a Tekken game, but never had a game system due to how expensive they are. Recently after all these years, I got myself a used GBA and was very happy to find that there was a Tekken game for it (which evidently is the third in the series). The game is pretty simple; there are 9 stages, 3 difficulties (easy, normal, hard), and many playable modes (arcade, survival, time attack, and my favorite; tag team!) and a nice little roster of fighters to choose from. For me, I love playing Xiaoyu, she's my favorite fighter~ The game is very fast-paced and full of fun, though after you've completed all 9 stages (which if you do it right, can be done within 10 minutes or less) there really isn't much to do, plus the credits just roll after the end, but the game is replayable due to the 3 difficulty levels and the multiple modes you can play. Even after you finish, this game is ADDICTING! I kept playing over and over until I got bored, put it down, then later picked it up again. So the pros are it's fun and fast-paced, great for if you only have a few minutes of game time (like say you're waiting for something or whatever) you could get a few rounds of gameplay in to pass the time, or if you have a lot of time play all the different modes until you get tired of it and play again later. Cons is there are no movies and you don't feel much of a sense of accomplishment when all you see is the credits roll after stage 9. So while it is a lot of fun, there is lack of the Tekken story so it just seems like a plain fighting game but fun none-the-less and I still highly recommend, since it is great to have some Tekken action on the go~

It is Tekken, 'nuff said!
This game is an anomaly. It is a 3D fighter on Gameboy Advance that is as close to perfect as you could ever hope for! The characters, look like they should; the moves, with only 4 buttons, are executed flawlessly. The way the polygonal fighters look and behave PROVES that it could be done right. If you can play this on your system; Gameboy Advance, Gameboy Advance SP, Gameboy Micro, Nintendo DS or Nintendo DS Lite. You must play this.

It works
It works. Also the move sets are surprisingly well integrated into the limited controls for each character (if anyone was wondering).

It satisfied my curiosity but I won't be spending much time ...
I got this game because I've always been curious about it and could never afford it when I was younger. It satisfied my curiosity but I won't be spending much time playing it.Sadly instead of keeping the controls the same like Street Fighter did on the GBA by using the triggers for heavy kicks and punches, it used the triggers for grabs and mixes left and right kicks into a single button as well as combining left and right punches into a single button. This just about ruins the game.I was impressed that they pretty kept the exact same engine as Tekken 3 on PSX, just lowering the graphics and frame-rate a lot. If they had just kept the controls the same, this could've still been a great game that would've been very similar to Tekken 3.
