Pyramex SL Series Cap Style Hard Hat

Best hard had seen: snap in to secure suspension system, extra-extra large size capacity, extra large front swet band, back next to ratching mechanism large foam pad comfort barrier strip, fits better and (most importantly) more comfortably than most other hard hats. Bought as a gamble. The gamble paid off.

As hard hats go, this is probably a fine one. I returned it because, as another reviewer mentioned, it sat REALLY high on my head and made my head feel top heavy. There's no way to adjust that and without the chin strap (a separate purchase), I doubt it would have stayed on. I had a headlamp with hard hat clips and broke one of them trying to get it on this helmet. I have another helmet I use for wildland firefighting and they worked fine on that one so I know it's this helmet. If this was just for occasional use, for less than $10 it's probably a good option. I teach Map Your Neighborhood disaster readiness for my local fire department and recommend it for their under-the-bed supply kit. They like the color options.

This hard hat serves its purpose for the occasional times I have to wear it. As a truck driver, sometimes companies that I deliver to or pick up from require the use of a hard hat, even when there is no risk of anything hitting you in the head.I'm giving it 4 out of 5 stars due to the height that it sits above your head. The webbing inside that's attached to the helmet liner should be longer or at least adjustable so it sits lower. As it is, it looks like it basically sitting on top/above your head.I've worm many, many hard hats in my day and never has one fit as awkwardly as this. If I had to wear one all day, everyday, I would have returned it, but since it's only occasionally and I only paid 9 bucks for it, I can live with it.

Purchased for my 4 yr old because he wanted a blue hard hat. It’s fairly large on him of course because it’s a real hard hat that sits high from the head, but the ratchet adjustment worked well to fit him. He adores this helmet and I couldn’t be happier for it!

To be honest I bought this as part of a construction worker Halloween costume and for that it did fine. As a hard hat I think it would be a great product as well.

Sits way too high on top of head for an adult and there are NO straps to adjust it. It’s great for a kid. I gave it to my 9 y/o son and it sits just right on his head.

I bought this hardhat because my previous one sits high on my head and is not adjustable, nor type 2.This one is adjustable so you can have it sit higher or lower on your head by adjusting the straps inside. This hardhat was advertised type 2, but I received type 1. It's also very comfortable, however the padding for the back of the hardhat has completely come off (not even 3 months of use), I tried using spray adhesive glue and sticking it back on but it came off again. Now that the back has no padding, everytime I remove my hardhat a bit of hair comes with it. The sweatband in the front is now gone as well, it's very thin material and ripped after regular use.I purchased sweatbands for my hardhat here on Amazon, I suggest terry cloth because they absorb most of the sweat instead of it pouring into your eyes.I have not found a replacement pad for the back of the hard hat.It is lighter than most hard hats so it's not bad to have on for 10+ hours a day.The ratchet is high quality, never a problem with adjustments.Overall: 5/10

My boyfriend loves this hat. He gets lots of compliments on it at work supposedly (since his work only issues orange ones) and he said the helmet is more comfortable than most and he says the adjustment clips are high quality. He’s pleased with this purchase and value

i only need a hard hat once or twice a month so it does the trick.it seems to be pretty well made and is fairly comfortable .padding could be thicker but it is ok for my needs .

Bought thus because i had a blue one and it loooked royal blue. Decided to go for it anither time with dark blue. It wasn't that bad, but I was looking for dark blue. Instead, it looked more like a dark purple. Packaging said dark blue, but after wearing it a while at work it seemed more of a purple color. And everybody noticed it was a bit od a purple color than dark blue.

Terrible. Cheap. Quality. I tossed this out. They dock you on your refund if you return it. I wouldnt dare sell it myself as I wouldn't trust it. So it went in the plastic recycling.
