Good for filleting salmon - sharpens well.
Takes and holds great edge, and of course needs to be sharpened when you receive it; hones well every few fish using ceramic hone. Those who knock this or any knife as not sharp "out of the box" are unrealistic as very few are. I sharpen a knife to my own criterium for safe use, before using. We use these and older kershaw fillet knives for sockeye salmon in large numbers. Great value for the money!

Really good 1st impression!
Only used it once but it was very good. Cleaned some nice catfish with ease. Blase is slightly more rigid than what I'm used to but it gives enough to make good clean fillets. It takes and holds a very sharp edge. The point on this knife is my favorite - very easy to drop into the cut verses the knives that flair up on the end. I will report back and update this review after a season's worth of use. So far, so good...

Super sharp!!
Looks great. Cut my fresh caught salmon like butter. It was a little more flimsy than I am used to but for the price.... I am very happy.

One of the better fillet knives I own
I'm a fishing guide and I have quite a few knives. I really enjoyed this one the past season - edge is decent with decent steel that retains an edge. It might be a "little" on the flimsy side for salmon, but I had minimal difficulty with even large fish, so "flimsy" isn't quite the right word. Overall, this is a good knife for the money.

Super sharp and a good value. Only negative I could say is it’s maybe alittle too flexible

GREAT!
Super sharp out of the box, worked great for deboning my pork shoulder.

Dulls fast
I’ve used this knife once and then now a second time it’s dull. I’ve sharpened it twice now and still pretty dull, not sure if it’s a real kershaw but man it doesn’t hold an edge at all. 6 silver salmon is all it’s got with on use kinda sad
