Voiceworks at Christmas: 30 Seasonal Songs

Although I like the format of this book with photocopiable pages and notes on how to teach the pieces, I was disappointed to find so many original compositions (I was hoping for simple arrangements of traditional carols). Very few of the pieces were suitable for my U3A community choir (who like tunes that they know)

Quite difficult arrangements but a couple of good options.

Finding new material for Christmas is always a challenge when you are working with amateur and school choirs. This has a wealth of resources which can be used across an ability spectrum, as do all the Voiceworks books.

A good selection here - old traditional, and newer one that go down well with moody teenagers. I especially like Away in a Manger. I think the whole series should have a backing cd with it though.
