I used it today( July 22,2019) for 30 minutes on spotlight while working in the attic and it blew out entirely. I though at first it might have been a thermal overload, so I let it cool down for an hour. The light was at 100% charge when I started and it did not fade out, it burnt out. Neither the flashlight nor the spotlight will turn on.I even tried charging it up and nothing. It did not even show the light on one side as charging. I am deeply disappointed as I had high hopes for this staying in my camping bag. I can no longer, in good conscience, recommend this product for anything other then an 8.5 ounce paperweight.END OF UPDATE TO REVIEW:ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW:This is a great product from Lunatech and one that should be carried at all times. Let's start by going over what you get in the box:Aluminator Light.Rubber molded case for the light.USB Cable and charger block.Powerful magnet stand for hands-free operationMolded foam packaging in the box for storage.1st off, I want to say this. You point this light in someone's eyes (or your own) , there WILL be some flash blindness. It is that bright. The light is actually a 2-in-1 light. A pinpoint flashlight and a mini floodlight. The flashlight registered 100 Lumens on my light meter and the mini floodlight registered 350 Lumens on high and 170 lumens on low.The kit comes with everything you need to get it charged up and running. Although it does come with a charge already in it, I still plugged it up and let it charge for a few hours to get it to it's maximum brightness.. The battery is Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) which allows for longer periods between recharges. I have not yet run the battery down, but I used it yesterday for over an hour and it did not dim at all. I like the fact that not only do you get the 4 foot micro-USB cable, but you also get the wall charging block with it. According to the manufacturer you should get 3 hours on high floodlight, 4 hours on low floodlight and 5 hours usage on the flashlight before needing to recharge it.The floodlight offers 2 settings, a high and a low. On high, I could see the floodlight through my welding mask... it's that bright. The light is encased in machined billet aluminum. Contrary to casting, billet parts are created by removing excess material from the billet, essentially the part is carved out of solid aluminum. This enables the process to be done on a CNC machine versus hand casting or forging where you would need a mold and creates a structurally stronger part. Machine billet aluminum is used in many different types of manufacturing. The light itself weighs 7.3 ounces. This goes up to 8.53 ounces when you put the rubber case on it. Dimensions are 5.25" L x 2.00" W x .53" high without the rubber case. The magnetic base is very powerful and not only holds the light firmly in place but also allows you to rotate the light to shine where you need it. The light itself has an IP65 waterproof rating, which means it is totally dust tight and will afford protection against water streamed at it from a nozzle. Basically, this indicates you can use the light outside in rainy conditions but NOT immerse it in water. This light can be used for walking at night to provide an extra measure of safety when walking along a dark road. We live in an area that gets pretty dark at night due to only two street lights on the road. My son got in his car and drove down the road a mile, turned around and came back while I shined the floodlight down the road in his direction. He was able to see the light almost as soon as he turned around. So the brightness is a definite plus.I can foresee many applications for this light, including camping, traffic control, working in tight spaces, such as under a cabinet, night parking lot control, signalling and many more. One thing to note is that there is NOT a strobe function to the light.I feel this is an essential well machined and quality product that deserves to have a place in your place. You will find many uses for this light, as we already have.End of Review===Thank you for taking a minute out of your busy life to read my review. not worth the price
First, I will say that this light is a decent light. It covers the small area where you are working well. It will not cast a wide light or cover a huge area. It has two lights, one on the top that looks like a sensor in the remote that gives a basic flashlight coverage. Then there is the larger light on the top. Its just ok.The magnet is a nice feature but it isn't the best, It doesn't really hold the light in the area where you are needing it due to the weight of the light.CONS: why is this light $125.00. I wouldn't pay $30.00 for this light. And I have some $20.00 lights that are better than this one. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH the asking price that is listed. The length of the light is confusing as well give that the lights are on the other end. I feel like they spent more time trying to design a light that looks like a cell phone than focusing on what a flashlight should be used for.Three stars because the light works ok. It isn't a bad light. But again... it isn't worth $125.00

Who says you can't build a better flashlight??
This ALUMINATOR flashlight is awesome. I never would have thought that you could really innovate when it comes to making a flashlight, but Luna Tech has managed to do this.First, the build quality here is excellent. From the solid feel of the aluminum housing, to the perfectly fitting case, to the machined magnetic "ball", this flashlight was well designed. Even the design of the packaging shows that thought went into this. It feels a lot like a smartphone in terms of size, just a bit heavier. And it fits in my pocket just like most phones. Very convenient.Next, having a dedicated "flood" light works much better than a beam that can be adjusted narrow and wide. The flood light can be switched between high and low if you don't need the full 350 lumens. This flood light would work great for working under the hood of your car, in a confined space, or almost any scenario where you need a broad swath of light. Then there's the ball mount. The ball is magnetic, which means not only can you attach it to most metal surfaces, but it also holds the flashlight on to it. They even put a rubber ring on the bottom to help prevent scratching of surfaces it is attached to, and also keep it from sliding down a vertical surface. (In my pix you can see it mounted to a fridge - it didn't slide down at all, even with the flashlight attached.) But the key here is that you can position the light virtually any way you want, from flat to completely vertical. The light doesn't slip, and the balance is perfect. Even with the flashlight completely to one side or the other, the ball mount stand doesn't tip over, even when not magnetically attached. This sort of design does not happen by accident. The light includes a charging cable and brick, and the cable attaches to a covered port on the back of the light. When charging, there are 4 LED lights indicating the charge level (mine came roughly 75% charged) that go from red when charging to green when fully charged. It also comes with a silicon case, much like ones you might buy for your smartphone, to protect the light from accidental drops or falls. It has cut outs on it for the ball mount and the power button and charging port, so it never really needs to be removed. And finally, performance. The flood light really lights up a space well. It is so bright it literally hurts to look at it straight on. The flashlight does an excellent job as well, lighting up quite a distance with a reasonable width light field for typical use.Yes, this flashlight is expensive. No question about it. But I would hesitate to directly compare this with a traditional flashlight, as the ways you can use this light are so much more diverse than a traditional flashlight. Is it worth the money? That depends how important it is to you to have a very high quality, top performing light with the endless versatility that this innovative mounting system offers. My biggest issue with the light is figuring out where I will keep it when not in use. Does it go in my car? My workshop? With camping gear? Or just in the utility drawer here at the house for various uses. I'll have to figure out which spot makes most sense so I can grab it for all the different places I expect to use it.***Note that I received this product at no cost in exchange for my unbiased review. I do not let this impact my review in any way, and I do not hesitate to write a poor review if the product deserves it. I only give 5-star reviews when the product is truly exceptional, and has no significant flaws or drawbacks. If I can answer any question about this product, please don't hesitate to ask.

Very bright light!
This light appears to be a quality made and very bright light. It is made of machined aluminum with a silicone cover. It has a rechargeable battery, and comes with a mini usb cable and usb wall plug. It even has a battery level indicator to show how much it is charged when you plug it in. The only problem I had was that the charging port cover wouldn’t go back on, so I don’t think it’s “waterproof” without the charging port being sealed.
