I have two of these for our fly poles and have found them worth the money for the protection they offer. Most recently used the on a wilderness pack trip where they got banged around pretty good and held up great. Only consideration is checking your piece length, as one of my poles is a little close to maximum to fit.

Rugged rod case for the plane ride and the rest of the trip
Fishermen fly to remote, rugged areas, carrying their fly rods. You need a good case for the flight and the rest of the trip. This case is roomy, with enough room for a large reel. And it’s tough. It survived a number of flights out west and into Canada. Everything I wanted and needed at a fair price.

Wow this is nice!
Very well made, sturdy bag. Has some padding inside the tube and where the reel sits. Only complaint is zipper is stiff around the corners, but that should loosen in time.
