Excellent Learning Tool for Chen Tai Chi
I’ve been practicing Yang style for years and wanted to learn more about Chen. This was a golden opportunity because I have Chenhan Yang’s excellent Baguazhang DVDs and I like his teaching style. Clear, inspiring demonstrations. The purpose of each of the 74 movements Is explained. Chenhan is a disciple of another impressive martial artist, Shou-Yu Liang. Chenhan is the president of the Shou-Yu Liang Institute, and with this program, he is helping people like me who may not have access to a local teacher learn and practice. A great addition to the library of anyone wishing to explore the original style of tai chi.

Excellent Instruction on Chen Style Laojia Yilu form!
Master Chenhan Yang provides an excellent step-by-step instruction on Chen Style Old Frame First Form. He includes information about some of the hidden moves in the form. And he also shares some ways that certain moves can be performed by persons for whom the standard manner of performance is difficult. His explanation is easy to understand and to follow.

Great laojia yilu resource
I purchased this direct from ymaa, but found it here. I really recommend this DVD to anyone who studies Chen taiji. I believe it is the best English resource available. I have studied Chen taiji for the past 6 years with various teachers including Chen Bing. This covers in depth each moment of laojia yilu. The silk realing part isn't great. But the form is. Something like three hours of going over each move and how to perform it correctly. I find it really helping my form practice.

Awesome, friendly and detail oriented Tai Chi teacher !
Great teacher. I took Chen style Tai Chi classes before the pandemic. I must say that Master Chenhan is really good at putting in detail - not too much and not too little , explains loud and clear what to do and not do and does it all in a friendly , professional and styled matter.Very much recommended for the Tai Chi enthuthiast

A missed opportunity
Unlike Dr. Yang's classical taiji sequence for beginners DVD, which included numerous angle changes and mirror view for clarifications, this Chen tai chi program spends the whole time teaching you in reverse with no angle change. With the amount of details, hand turns, weight shifts left and right all in reverse, without mirror view and with the teacher rarely clarifying verbaly the direction to turn from your own point of view, deciphering this form is a real puzzle.
