Works great on saw blades—better than oven cleaner.
This works so well on saw blades! On my Forrest blade I had dried dish detergent, and when that didn’t work very well, I tried oven cleaner, and sealed the blade in a plastic box and put it in the sun for a few hours. It still took a lot of scrubbing with a tooth brush to get the teeth clean. The blade in the photos came with my used saw, and was in serious need of a cleaning, but I was avoiding it. It would have taken forever to scrub each tooth on this blade the way I had on my general purpose blade. After leaving this high-tooth-count plywood blade in this cleaner for an hour, all the gunk rinsed right off with hose spray—no scrubbing required. .I got this blade cleaner after watching a YouTube on restoring rolls of drum-sander sandpaper that had burned in stripes on them by putting the roll in a mason jar and soaking it in blade cleaner overnight. That had mixed results. It worked well on some brands, but others, while clean, kinked and curled into a mess when drying. I had both ends of the sandpaper held down with pieces of railroad track that I use when I need to hold things down—so it wasn’t just that I let it dry without trying to keep it flat. The roll that didn’t curl up looks almost new, although I haven’t tried it yet. For the sandpaper, I’m not sure the trouble was worth it- but that’s not what is made for. For saw blades with burned-on gunk on the teeth, it’s a big thumbs-up.

Works miracles!
This is the second time purchasing this product to clean 10" Table Saw blades at our company. The first bottle lasted over 2 year and that is taking into account that we cut lumber quite regularly and reuse the blades after cleaning them. Most blades last about 3 - 4 times after they are cleaned. This saves us both time and money and keeps our business running smoothly. Usually I soak the blades for about 20 minutes in the solution then clean it after gently with a small steel brush, the "gum" and hardened sawdust comes right off. There are times when I have to leave it for about 20 minutes more soaking in the solution but thats rare. This product is a life saver. Before this I used to spray WD-40 on the blades and then clean them manually using a wood chisel, which would take ages. I'm glad I found this. Thumbs up to the company! :)

It is slow working but does work
I have used it on saw blades and it works. I give it 5 stars for a job that looked impossible. If you have a drum thickness sander and the sanding belt is heavily clogged up the rubber block you hold against the spinning head does nothing, fill up a large jar with CMT and drop the roll into the jar. After 24 hours stretch the paper out on the drive way and spray off with a hose. You will still have a few spots that a wire brush will remove easily. I did not invent this. Go to you tube, clean sanding belt, Dan Erliwine, Stewart McDonald.

So far, does what it advertised to do.
Was skeptical about what this product said it could do.Received the item, followed instructions. And I was happily surprised it did a great job of cleaning up my drum sander adhesive. Now I'll need to reuse the clean roll and see how it holds up back on the drum sander.

BEST BLADE AND BIT CLEANER EVER
This is a must have product to remove pitch, resin and other adhesive residue from all my woodworking cutting tools (saw blades, router bits, drill bits, shaper cutters, planer blades, etc.). I love that it is completely non-toxic, non-flammable and certified biodegradable making it a safe, earth-friendly product. I have also used this on my table saw top to keep it rust free. I use it both a spray bottle for some applications and in a dip bowl for saw blades. Keeps all my cutting tools working a peak performance and efficiency.

Great Product 👍
The CMT formula 2050 arrives quickly and on time. If you have ever purchased a liquid from Amazon, chances are you have experienced a leak... not the case here! It was very well packaged. My first experience with CMT formula 2050 was on a neglected table saw blade, I soaked the blade in the formula over night and all the pitch and residues came right off, no need for rinsing because it acts as a protecting coat as well. I am super happy and looking forward to cleaning all my blades and bits the CMT formula 2050!

Weak product
I’m a commercial cabinetry and millwork shop. We clean blades sometime two to three times daily. The product we used to use has been discontinued so we tried this product. Not very impressed. Left residue on the blades even after applying the product twice.
