For a k-cup drink the taste was very good.

Order came as described. Easy one time shot of dark chocolate flavor. Definitely a nice drink on a comfort needed day.

First of all, there is nothing about this stuff to even remotely suggest dark chocolate. We know what dark chocolate tastes like, and this isn't it.It isn't helped by the inclusion of corn syrup solids, cane sugar, maltodextrin, acesulfame potassium, AND aspartame -- none of which is mentioned in the product description, and appear only on the box in print too small to read without a magnifying glass. This cocktail of sweeteners constitutes the main flavor to be found herein.The whole point behind it being compatible with Keurig machines is that it must work with hot water, not milk. Therefore, it must, itself, contain milk in some form. The "milk" that this label says it contains comes in the form of nondairy coffee creamer (mostly coconut oil and/or palm oil, the aforementioned corn syrup solids, sodium caseinate (a milk derivative) and some other chemicals), which you can obtain much cheaper elsewhere, if you're into that. Drink a glass of that sometime; you won't call it milk.Actual cocoa (processed with alkali) appears somewhere south of midway down the ingredients list, just ahead of maltodextrin and salt, and immediately followed by the sweeteners, which totally obscure any theoretical flavor of cocoa.There is nothing you can do to this stuff to make it taste like hot cocoa. Even if you put actual chocolate in it, and real milk, that would not cut through the metallic taste of artificial sweetener. If you're a fan of that, you might like this.

Brooklyn Bears Midnight hot dark chocolate in easy K-cups is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend.

Hardly any flavor. I won't buy again. Also to get the majority of the chocolate out of the pod, I had to open the pod and scrape it out.

2nd Update: I reached out to the company, Two Rivers Coffee, and they sent me a coffee sampler box to replace the defective hot cocoa pods. The coffee varieties are all good, and so far all have worked without issue. Update: I decided to give the pods to a friend who doesn't mind aspartame, but the pods are defective! She says the hole is punched but the liquid won't come out & her Keurig shuts down. Original review: It has become impossible to find hot chocolate pods locally, so I was excited to find this Dark Chocolate hot cocoa for my Keurig. When it arrived, I read the ingredients on the box and found the pods contain aspartame, an artificial sweetener that causes me to have horrible migraine headaches! I'm SO disappointed that I will not be able to use this product, and am not comfortable gifting it to anyone. While the flavor could be good, I won't be able to try it. This product is of no value to me. Money wasted!
