Assemble and use it properly and it is awesome!!!
Followed the directions exactly for setting it up and made sure all the screws and knobs were tight and everything adjusted properly. Works great!!!takes about 30 seconds or so to warm up so if you start it with the balls in the feeder, the first few balls come out limp, but it throws pretty hard on the high-level (and we were using real baseballs). Be careful. Definitely not for professional use but for home use, recreational for kids, it’s great.Be sure to also re-adjust the auto-ball feeder at the proper angle for gravity, depending on how you have the main machine pointing (up for a pop flys or down for ground balls) — adjust and tighten ALL parts each time and there’s no rattling or anything that I read aboutin some other comments. Was a little worried at first based on some reviews, but if you put it together properly and use it properly (especially for the price compared to other really expensive ones) this thing is awesome for kids who use it for fun (and for parents who need a break from consistently being asked to go outside and throw balls all the time). $200 kid-sitter is worth the money 😂😂😂😂

Good for the money
I bought this for my 15 yr old and 10 yr old sons. Is is good with the slider balls and okay with hard balls. The only reason it’s a 4 star is the stand is crap. The machine moves back and forth and when it throws a hard ball it moves all over. I will make something better but all in all it’s a good buy.

to expensive for the quality
the first one received the rubber bands on the wheel popped off with the first couple of ball feed through, returned for a replacement. this one worked great for about a month or two and then it will not turn on at all and it stopped working one month past the return date so i would not recommend it. i may add that this machine was put up after every use. the net that goes with this machine is amazing for the price. we do not take it down because our boys use it everyday.

Yes
Read the reviews and was a bit apprehensive about the purchase. Plugged it in and threw in some light balls and it spit them out so fast I had to slow the speed to the lowest setting. More than happy with this purchase.

Do NOT use real baseballs!!!
Given the price in comparison to competitors, my expectations were not very high. I bought this machine due to its advertised ability to use regular baseballs as well as the machine's plastic balls. While the machine is usable, I was less than impressed with its capabilities. It takes a while for the machine to warm up. The first two or three pitches are short and inaccurate. After that you can get a reasonably good pitch. It's still a bit variable, similar to a real pitcher, so don't expect every ball to be in the center of the strike zone.I used the lite balls, in addition to real baseballs, to allow for pitching at higher speeds. The light balls can be compared to whiffle balls. The slightest breeze will catch them an you'll end up with a pitch that flies behind the batters back. Because of that, you'll only want to use the lite balls inside or on days with no breeze.Unfortunately, this machine can not handle baseballs as advertised. After a single pitch, the brand new Rawlings seamless baseball specifically designed for pitching machines had two large cuts in the leather. After just three more pitches that ball was destroyed. That makes it cheaper to just run down to the local batting cages and pay to play.Because real balls get destroyed, using this for any sort of fielding practice is out of the question.I would suggest using the slightly cheaper version of this machine that is not rated for real baseballs if you opt to buy a Heater Sports pitching machine. Since you won't want to be using real balls, save your self the money.

Great!
Excellent product. I use it for fielding drills. Great for ground balls, pop flies and line drives. Any fielding drill can be done with it. And obviously great for batting practice. Saves so much time and energy for me as a 14u coach! Super light and easy to use. The hold down pins work well. Keep it in place even at max speed.

This is all you need for a whole range of experience.
Purchased this for my 5 yr old grandson who outgrew teeball 2yrs ago. He has quite good coordination to hit most balls that are pitched to him. This machine is amazing. Of course, we have to put it on the lowest setting, but even that is fast! Setting is 1-10. 1 was fast enough ! Have had it for a month and hes used it countless times. This pitching machine is perfect for beginners to adults. Runs great, balls all land in same area so it's pretty accurate once you get it going. Takes 2 to 3 pitches to get up to full speed, but that's expected. Bought 12 extra balls. Also, we used power cord. Did not buy battery since we have power outlets in our pump houses and barn. Cant comment on if ran by battery. All in all I would reccomend this machine for sure! Especially for the price.

Junkie
I bought it not expecting much but got less than that. I bought it for my 6 year old . It’s not consistent and yes I waited a long time in between balls and read all of the instructions plus the online forums but still junk. Don’t use cheap baseballs because it tears them up. I spent more time trying to make it work then actually using it. Finally gave up on it and only use it for pop flys and grounders. But now I stopped doing that because it’s vibrating so bad I’m worried it will explode
