Great match alternative
This is a great alternative to having matches, the bendable top makes it easy to light candle wicks without being directly over the flame. I gave this to my grandma becuase it is also great to use for the stove since one of her burners doesn't igninite properly this let's her turn on the burner without having to be close to the flame. One of the main reasons I chose this one over others is the light that is attached, while it is not meant to be a full on flashlight it is definitely bright enough to help you look for the wick in the dark or light up a very small area. It also has a safety switch that turns everything off even if the buttons are being pressed. It takes very little time to light things up but I would not use this for BBQs or something that requires a flame for longer than 2 seconds. While it can hold the arc for about 7 seconds I would use a regular or butane lighter for something like that. But for everyday quick lights this is perfect especially since it is rechargable its very unlikely you'll need to replace it any time soon.

Save On Disposable Wand Lighters!
No need for buying anymore of those disposable wand lighters! I love this, esp for lighting jar candles! I just wish the neck part is a bit longer. I haven't tried this with the fireplace yet. The charge last for quite awhile - I've had this for about a month now and use it almost everyday (to light my candle) and I've only had to charge it once (after the initial charge). And there's a bonus led light on it (separate button to operate that).

This is a good gadget
I wondered whether this gadget would work as advertised. It does! We use it to ignite propane burners on the gas grill and on our boat -- and once in awhile at home when the gas range igniter is a bit cranky. And yet, it lights candles. Yet, it is safe and easy to use. Plus, with a flck of the switch it is also a little mini-flashlight. The device is regarded with a USB connector (supplied). (And for Chanukah, the charge lasts all eight days.)

Convenient and Safe
I didn't even know there were electric-powered candle lighters. I've been using the gas throwaways for some time. When I saw this I had to try it. I never think having the gas in my apartment is particularly safe. This one is very nicely designed, and has a couple extra features. The bendable neck allows you to reach into tight places. And the light allows you to see where to place the lighter to fire up the device. The added bonus is the charging feature via USB. I don't imagine it needs charging very often, but it's a nice touch.

Awesome gift for someone who loves candles
I bought as a stocking stuffer for my wife and wasn't even sure it worked. She raves about it! She has a lot of candles around the house and often burns herself trying to light them with a normal BIC when the dedicated bbq lighter dies. She can light away to her hearts content and it is rechargeable. This was a sneaky jackpot of a little gift.

Best Discovery Ever! Highly Recommend
This is the best lighter I've ever found! Easy and quick to charge and lights candles fast. Keeps a charge for days & days! I burn many candles almost every day so it gets lots of use. Think I've charged it once or maybe twice since I got it several weeks ago. The light feature is handy and bright. No more other lighters for me! Absolutely love this!!

Works, has light to tell you fully charged
I like this lighter; will buy another one. It does seem delicate, I would not take it on a camping trip. But around the house, barbecue grill and burning the trash works great. I can light a candle or a mosquito coil with it. I recommend it for use around the house or farm. The light comes in handy lighting Colman lanterns and stuff like that in the dark.

Perfect Solution
I was skeptical about this before buying. But it has been a game changer in my household. No more dealing with lighters that run on butane, that constantly run dry and contribute to filling up the landfill. We use this mainly for scented candles, but I was also able to use it to get a fire going in my firepit.
