Total melting crap
I bought these trays to grow sprouts for my chickens. One arrived already half melted and snapped in half when I tried to remove it from the bunch and the rest melted in the sun today when it got to 75 outside. I'm so disappointed in this product. Don't waste your money. Dollar Tree bins are much sturdier and do the job just fine.

they are still the best trays I have found when using a heat mat ...
Many people ask the question about the sturdiness of these seed plant trays. Over the years I have purchased these trays from numerous sources and there is little difference in the manufacturing of these trays. Although they are flexible and to some people flimsy, they are still the best trays I have found when using a heat mat to germinate pepper and tomato seeds. There are studier and more expensive trays available but they generally come with nobs on the bottom, which do not allow the tray bottom to fit flat on a heat mat. My solution is to combine two of these less expensive trays to give a degree of sturdiness, and with a small investment you can make them even more efficient when using a heat mat. Purchase a small tube of silicone sealer and a package of quarter size washers from your favorite hardware store. Evenly space six of the washers inside the bottom of the first tray and seal then with the silicone. Next insert and attach the second tray with some more silicone on top of the washers in the first tray. When the two trays are firmly attached, run a bead around the outside lips of the two trays to seal the annular or air space between the two trays. This trapped air space will allow a more uniform heat transfer from the heat mat across the bottom of the joined trays. Just remember these seed trays are made of plastic like that used in milk cartons, and should be replaced about every other season based on usage. Same is true of heat mats since they loose their ability to heat after a couple of seasons.

Satisfied with the product here but lose a star for ...
Exactly what you would expect from a tray. Same quality you would find in a typical garden center at your hardware store. This was purchased at 10 for $25 which is quite pricey. I did find a different vendor selling for $19.95 where I bought more. Satisfied with the product here but lose a star for price. If this was helpful, please tag as such below - thanks!

Extremely cheap, my seedlings fell everywhere after the tray broke while I was holding it
I ordered these a while ago and the first set of trays was pretty good. The plastic was thick enough you could carry seedlings in them. I ordered a 2nd and 3rd order of the same trays ( one had to be returned since they were melted together during production) but the last two sets broke when I tried to separate them or broke when I simply lifted them off the table into the green house. The trays collapsed beneath the weight of my seedlings. I assume these are for seedlings to germinate since the plant cells fit perfectly in them but the quality was horrible. I will be buying my trays locally where I can see the quality of the trays before I buy them.

cheap plastic, not durable as stated
I was finally going to start trying my hand at growing fodder for my chickens today. Taking out the trays, I saw four out of the five trays were split all the way to the bottom of the trays in one corner. They are definitely not worth the money I spent for this product. Needless to say, they will not hold water for soaking my seeds. I am extremely disappointed since I was going to start a new batch every two days. Please send me replacements, or credit my account. I would prefer replacements. The trays I received are not worth returning. I expect an answer soon. I truly am not trying to blame anyone. Accidents do happen and nothing is perfect. I am just very disappointed since I was excited to start this new project. Thank you for your assistance in correcting this problem.

Thin and not sturdy
I was disappointed in the quality of these trays. They are much thinner than anticipated and the corners dent easily (arrived with several dented in the shipping box), making it very likely that I'll get leaks. I don't expect these to last more than two seasons if I'm very careful and lucky. I'll stick to another brand that's a bit more expensive but is much sturdier. I don't have resources to waste on products that don't have a good return on value and I don't relish the thought of dropping a whole tray of seedlings. This is not a bad product--it seems like the same flimsy trays at the nursery that usually get tossed; I just wanted something a bit sturdier. They 'work' but I won't buy them again.Edit (4/2020): These trays have been a huge disappointment. They break and crack with the least provocation and are flimsier that ones I can purchase locally. They are barely making it through the start of the planting season.

Great for stationary use as reservoir.
I like them. They are serving their purpose as a water reservoir for my growing vegetable seedlings. A tray corner might easily and accidentally be dented and cracked. Mine are going to be stationary on a shelf, so no constant handling. Still, since I'm not currently using the extra trays I just doubled them up.

This is #6 plastic (Polystyrene)
This tray is made out of #6 plastic. Is that polystyrene? Probably, based on the texture. However, there is no way to know according to the page. The implied purpose of this tray is for growing microgreens and other plants. Thus, I assumed that it was #5 (PP) plastic. Furthermore, AngelsbyEve (Seller) said, "This plastic is made of recycled polypropylene." then why is there a #6 on the tray I have received? By how the type of plastic was conveniently out of the main page, I cannot say this was completely free of an ill-intent.That being said, the tray is very durable for how thin the plastic is. It's a great tray to catch water and dome your seedlings.
