ESSDEEInk Roller/Brayer (Soft) 150mm , Blue

I initially bought the 10cm version of this roller: It was recommended by Laura Boswell as a great entry level roller for Lino printing. In comparison to art rollers on the market it's certainly a very good price and as, under non-lockdown circumstances, I am able to access professional level kit at a university print room I was skeptical that this roller would perform well, especially after having very little success with it's red handled cousins.After testing the the roller with acrylic paints for Geli printing and Caligo Safewash and Van Son Oil Based ink for Lino, block and letterpress printing with a hand baren and an etching print press I am really happy to report it's a really fab roller which takes up and lays down a really consistent layer of ink and would definitely recommend it... so much so that I've bought a second 10cm one and am eagerly awaiting the re-stock of the 15cm version. The rubber material coating the roller is softer and much thicker than the red version and for this reason, make sure you store it in a rack or by hanging it up as it would definitely develop flat spots over time if you weren't cautious.
