Best.Vest.Ever. Function/utility are more important than buying “name brand”.
Amazing vest, I took a chance when it had no ratings and am so happy I ordered this one. My dog’s trainer reviewed the listing with me and agreed it was the best option for my Holly...completely adjustable with sturdy buckles/handle/leash ring, no ill-fitting unadjustable strap between the chest and belly, not too close to her neck but accurately positioned to prevent pulling. Sturdy but ightweight with plenty of velcro for patches or molle pouches and lacing on top. Seatbelt style metal buckle on side of chest strap can’t easily snap loose or break under pressure like some plastic buckles, but is lightweight and has a fabric shield behind it (as do the other buckles) so it does not chafe her skin/fur. I feel safe using it with her seatbelt in the car. The two belly straps are about 2” wide and fairly soft; they don’t cut in like most nylon webbing. This vest seems custom fit to my dog’s awkwardly proportioned lab mix body and it fit perfectly right out of the package (Holly weighs 60 lbs.). It does not shift or slip out of position/adjustment with use. The body length is ideal, the straps are positioned far enough behind her front legs to not chafe, and the shape/cut are clear at the back of the vest where others show complaints of the back cutting into the ribcage as the dog walks. Does not restrict her movement in any way and doesn’t seem that any part of the vest bothers her. When we encounter areas we don’t want her to walk through my son is able to briefly lift her up without her struggling by using the handle and one hand at the back/end of the vest.Holly seems to wear her vest proudly; and in some ways I wonder if it works like a Thunder-shirt. She seems less fearful in public with this vest (she was a rescue who is now training for service). She is obviously comfortable in it; not only is she eager to put her head through the strap to wear it, she wants to leave it on when we get home although I usually don’t let her.
