Really cool looking and comfortable. These were a gift for my son and he loves them!

I only received these today. They are so good I quickly ordered a second pair, because I will be wearing these out and you know how things seem to disappear from Amazon.

The tongue of one shoe was shorter than the other and it was shorter than the last eyelet. The lace when secured rubs at the front part of my ankle.

These shoes (available under various brands) have an attractively unusual style & are mostly comfortable to wear. However: Take seriously the reviews that classify it as a "driving" moc or shoe, and take with a grain of salt those that call it a "barefoot" shoe. It's good as a driving moc in that it sturdily and unnoticeably protects the feet while driving. However, when walking in the shoe, whether barefoot or in sox, I actually feel my feet sliding medially inside them (toward my center), because there is no arch at all there to prevent it, & this is disturbing. Add an insole, or just don't walk in them.

These shoes were a major letdown. The sole is completely flat, with zero arch support, making every step feel like a punishment. As for the internal cushion—if you can even call it that—it offered no comfort at all. After just a short time wearing them, my feet were sore and tired. If support and comfort matter to you, I’d steer clear of this pair.

I plan to use these shoes for renaissance festivals to complete my outfit. I didn't want to spend a lot of money buying boots, and don't like sandals. These look handcrafted from a distance. They also are quite comfortable, with lots of padding in the heel. I would note the shoes are cut low at the ankle, so even the lowest socks are going to show. The shoe strings are quite nice looking and add to that rustic appearance.
