Carpet "shag" is more like little strings. The design is nice, however the standard carpet weave in white which swirls through is far too much of a contrast in quality. The cheapness of aspects in the weave stand out when accented by the dark shag portions. Item was also returned due to excessive gaseous/ethanol smell. The cat would go nowhere near it, and he loves carpets. The carpet reaked and was leeching into the air. One spot also smelled like urine. The rug did come tagged and wrapped as if it were new. Returned with Prime. Would not buy this carpet or from manufacturer or distributor again, most likely.Sad, because I sort of liked the carpet, yet we have found far better deals for 1/2, even 1/3 of the price on Amazon.
