Nice light “sea salt” spray that feels great!
Nice and light formula that doesn’t have the stickiness some other brands have, but still provides the texture and hold. The light scent is also great, not over powering.

My go-to for daily-style hold.
I use this product in a way that most likely isn’t intended. I find that my “thin” combed-over/slicked-back hair is held together great for the entire work day (office job) from a few sprays of this. At the end of the day if I have some strays I’ll just re-wet a comb, comb through and there’s usually enough product in hair from the morning that I don’t have to reapply (just add water to fix!) While hair is moist after showering and pat dry I’ll throw a few pumps of spray in, comb to style and let it dry. Daily hair staple for me - I’d recommend!

Really nice, but use in moderation
This tonic was my one and only daily styling product for about 2 years after trying it at a barber and really liking the look. If you apply it to towel-dried hair, let it dry (air or blow-dry), and then run your fingers or a brush through it, it leaves a really nice natural-looking style with just enough hold for my hair type (thick but short and straight). However, I didn't do my research after liking the results so much, and had no idea that it's a sea salt spray. That's my fault and I should have known better, but after daily use over a year or so, I noticed my scalp really started to dry out and my hair was thinning more than usual as a result. I will be trying another light hold spray product, probably Reuzel's spray grooming tonic since I like this product so much.In moderation, this product gives your hair a nice natural shape with just enough hold, but if used too much over time it could potentially damage your scalp like any other sea salt spray. The problem is that nowhere in the amazon listing does it say "sea salt" - I had to go elsewhere to find all this out.I absolutely recommend it for occasional use, but it shouldn't be your daily driver.

Liquid gold
This stuff is magic. Adds volume, texture, and enhances natural curls. A must have for dudes with curly + thinner hair. I've used it on towel dried, freshly shampooed + conditioned hair in addition to dry bed-head - works great either way.

Easy to use and effective.
Easy to use, and effective in "holding" your hairdo. No messy clean-up.

Not a great substitute for Vaughn V76 Hair Tonic
If you are like me and in search of an acceptable replacement for the apparently discontinued Vaughn V76 Hair Tonic, this is unfortunately not the best choice. The hold is twice as strong as V76, and there is a noticeable leftover residue. Layrite Grooming Spray is the best second choice I've found so far. On the other hand, if you are looking for a hair tonic that can handle the wind, Reuzel Surf Tonic may be for you. :)

Reuzel is the Best
Gives my hair volume and hold without sticky or oily feeling. The product is like spraying your hair with sea water.

Subtle effect with matte texture
I've tried a number of the sea salt sprays, and this Reuzel Surf Tonic is pretty good. It does not add shine, grime, or grease, as some sea salt sprays can. Then again, it doesn't add much hold either, but it's primarily meant to be a pre-styler, and it works well for that. Probably best for shorter hair. I like apply it with dry or slightly damp hair out of the shower, style hair once dried, and then you can mist over with the Surf Tonic to add just a little bit of hold and additional volume during the day. Pretty decent!
