Thornless Blackberries? Oh yeah!
There are lots of blackberry bushes growing all over the place here. All have thorns. When I saw a YouTube video about a thornless variety, I jumped on Amazon and ordered some. I didn’t really read the description, so I was surprised to get 5 plants! They arrived in very good condition and carefully packed. All I had to do was stick them in the soil along with trellises and water. It’s been a little over a week and they are all thriving and growing. I’m looking forward to picking blackberries without bleeding to death. Highly recommend!

So far so good! - UPDATE
Arrived promptly and in good shape. Plants look healthy and sturdy. Have not been able to plant quite yet due to the severity of rain here lately, but I anticipate good things based on the current healthy of the plant. Bonus that it is a veteran owned business as we are a veteran family as well! ***UPDATE - all 5 plants successfully established with very little help from me. Also, I've needed some guidance regarding both the initial planting and some pruning. Both times the seller responded in less than 24 hours. I cannot brag enough on their customer service.

Healthy starter plants with good roots in deepish cells.
Pretty impressed with these starter plants. Shipped in a timely manner, healthy green leaves and all 5 had nice healthy roots. I transplanted into 1 gallon pots for now and will plant out after I finish preparing the new growing area. I expect all of these to really take off in growth. The plants were about 3 inches tall, each with about a 2 inch wide 4 inch deep root system that was obviously grown in cells of that size. These should be easy to transplant with minimal shock even after being temporarily grown on in a larger pot for about a month or so.

Squashed
The blackberry plants that I received in the mail were squashed pretty badly and looked brown and mostly dead. I got five plants and two of them had have died. I did leave the plant in the ground however, just in case maybe it would revive. Two of the plants look pretty good but the third ones very tiny. We will see if it makes it after being squished in the mail.

Caveat Emptor. Do Not Stand Behind Their Products.
When our plants arrived, I noticed that one plant seemed extremely small and appeared to be in bad health compared to the other plants, but I took a chance and planted all five plants, all were planted at the same time, the same way and in the same soil, four plants are doing fine but the one plant that looked bad appears dead with no growth or signs of life. I contacted the company in hopes in "GOOD FAITH" they would send Another plant to replace the bad one that was sent and did not survive, instead they played the "Blame Game" They responded as follows, "The reason why they are struggling is because the stem and plug are too deep. If the stem is touching new soil, it will rotten the stem. Please raise the plug so it is sticking out of the soil about a cm. As I Said All 5 were planted the same way and In the Same Soil, I feel this company slipped in A small crappy plant along with good ones as the pictures show.

They lived
Seem to be good, healthy plants just smaller than but I had out for. And I think for the size they were overpriced, that’s just my opinion.
