Its great. Its autometer. Always need a housing for your gauges helps keep them in place where you need them.

Too pricey for a thin metal enclosure.

I am using this to install a GPS speedometer on my boat. The speedo is a Chinese unit made by ELING. It's a 3 3/8" diameter gauge. I installed the unit into the housing, it sorta fit, but I ended up having to put 1 layer of electrical tape around the gauge in order to be able to make the gauge fit snugly into the housing. Without that I would not have been able to tighten the clamp enough to secure the gauge. All in all this should serve my purpose well. It's got a nice matte black finish and is well constructed. Comes with appropriate hardware to mount the gauge and secure it to the boat helm (might need longer screws). I deducted a couple of stars as the instructions are spotty and the wire grommets are difficult to install.

so i bought this clamp on gauge pod for a tach. I mounted a Stewart warner gauge in it but the gauge does not fit in the cup. its a deep gauge? maybe its a standard gauge? but it doesn't fit in the cup fully. So i used the clamp to just hold the gauge. But ALL the posts where the wires are attached are exposed. Also should note this DOES NOT include the hose clamp to clamp the pod mount to the steering the column

Internal light stopped working after 3 days.

Make sure the rear of your gauge is a single strand of wires, not a 4 post for a fit.

This gauge holder arrived missing some hardware, specifically the 2 brass fittings. There was also a self tapping mounting screw and 1 lock washer missing. The gauge pod will be usable as I am not installing a mechanical gauge. If I needed the fittings shown in the picture, if would have to go back.

Fits tach but came missing spacer to attach strap to base. Rather than return will have to spend some time making missing part.
