Kilmat is the best sound deadner for an affordable price.
We got this sound deadner for my boyfriend's work van and it made a huge difference. It doesn't sound like we're traveling down the road in a tin can anymore. Road sound is non-existent. It is really easy to use. I purchased 2 different sizes rollers and used a heat gun to soften the tiles prior to applying to the curved areas and it worked perfectly. Just as good as dynamat. But much less expensive. No odor. We purchased 2 boxes and that completely covered the whole interior surfaces with some left over. Very impressive. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

TRY ITTT!!!!
OK, first of all I've been professionally taking cars apart and putting them back together for the last 7 years as an autobody/refinish tech. You see some cars with little to no sound deadner and some higher end cars with lots of it. Eventually you come to see/hear/feel the difference this stuff actually makes for cars that didn't have it at all or have very much of it. We've always used the 3M sound deadner pads that are shiny, black, and come 10 large (19"x19") squares in a box. Did a 2008 Crown Vic with those, they worked well. Those are much thicker than this stuff and weigh a fair amount more. (NO, I'm not complaining about weight) I just always thought that if it was heavier it HAD to be better. Well, I'm working at a different larger shop now, and it would've been harder/more expensive to get the 3M pads, so I gave these a shot. I had to do a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe for noisy/hollow sounding doors, a couple of which pinged like a drum head when they closed, thanks to the foam/adhesive breaking down on the diagonal support inside the door that the door-skin is bonded to. So, I did a few big strips, (it does not need to be completely covered!!) inside all 4 passenger doors, and rear gate. The stuff cuts good with a sharp box-cutter (watch the foil edges) Also, it sticks very well when pressed or rolled into place. I then added some Noico red foam to help with additional road noise dampening and insulation. I know some people complain about the "smell" but I never noticed it at all in the Hyundai or my 2018 F-150. This stuff worked great! got rid of all of the pinging/hollow sounding doors and it also gives you a pleasant increase in sound quality/bass response even with stock speakers! The Hyundai doors now sound like closing the doors on a car 3x its price tag with by doing that. They sound nice and solid now when they close. I also did all the doors on my 2018 F-150 with the other half of the box of this and the Noico foam, good results there too!! I will still have a small amount leftover that will go somewhere in the F-150 cab. Good price! Definitely recommend to get rid of hollow/cheap sounding doors or added for those looking for better sound!

Quiet at last
I used this on the floor and firewall in the cab of my Class C motorhome to reduce engine and road noise. It was a little messy to handle but easy enough to apply, and the end result was worth it.The box contained quite a few more sheets of sound-deadening material than I needed for the motorhome so I used some of what was left over on the floor under the cargo area of my Ford Escape to reduce road and tire noise. In this case I was exceptionally pleased with the result, as Ford installed absolutely no sound-deadening material at the factory in this part of the vehicle and the reduction in road and tire noise was dramatic. The Kilmat had a tarry, asphalt-like odor when it was first applied but the smell disappeared within a day or two. This stuff works very well and is a good value for the money.

Great Product!
I'd say this product worked out great! I was considering the more expensive option then decided to go with the Kilmat and glad I did, half the cost and works just as well. Rather easy to install, my only recommendation would be to have a heat gun handy while installing. I installed in my garage at 65° temps and was boarder line to cold, a little heat to warm up the tar material and bam it stuck like glue with using a roller application tool.. I would highly recommend.....save the money.

Works! Easy to apply but maybe not as effective as more expensive brands!
This product was relatively easy to apply, outside of the difficulty of the car parts (removing your carpet, seats, and door pieces, etc). It is very adhesive and will wreck any scissors you use to cut it. Just a complete side note, make sure to buy good, robust scissors and have alcohol or varnish to clean off the scissors. The sound deadening effect was noticeable enough, but with the relative thinness of this product, I can't help but think there is a solution that is more sound deadening out there. Again, I have no proof that other brands would be more effective, but if you are going through all the effort of taking apart your door panels, removing carpet, seats, and breaking/losing clips for your car, you might as well get the best. It's a job you won't want to ever do again, I can promise that! This product does a great job at what it is advertising, and I definitely noticed a difference in the solidity of my car when closing doors and knocking on the metal. My only recommendation is to maybe spend a bit more money on a more premium product if you are going through all the effort that this job requires.

Awesome sound deadening
Works great , I bought two boxes and was perfect for a small single cab truck. It really made a difference with noise reduction. I have a subwoofer in the truck and have no rattling from the bass .

Does it’s job.
My dad sent me the direct link for this listing and asked me to order for him. He’s fixing up his 1964 C10 Chevy and added AC in it. He needed it to be insulated and wanted to go the DIY route. He said quality is great, adhesion was easy to stick and stay in place. Light weight, but insulation is great.
