Heilala Everyday Vanilla 16.90 fl oz

I grew up using Adam's Extract 2X vanilla flavor, which makes me think of the vanilla flavor in Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla (minus the listeria), and have been trying to find something similar to that that I can buy in a large quantity (and I hate plastic, but a plastic bottle in the kitchen is a lot less risky for me). This is similar, less strong, and has a nice sweet, mellow vanilla flavor, and I use 1.5x the amount a recipe specifies because I'm used to a stronger vanilla flavor. I wish there was a 2x version of this, because I'd be all over that. Compared to a regular high quality vanilla, this is sweeter, and a little watered down. It's great for test recipes or things where vanilla isn't a big part of the recipe (I use my old standby for vanilla buttercream, vanilla cake, and chocolate chip cookies that live and die by the vanilla used in them).

My family likes vanilla a lot and they are using it daily in various beverages and what not. This may not be the finest vanilla out there, but it's pretty darn good, and at a price where I don't cringe everytime I see someone reach for it. We will be getting more, especially at the rate it is disappearing around here

I love this product and I truly believe you can't over-flavor with regards to vanilla. I like starting with a little of this vanilla in any recipe where I use other extracts, too. It magically enhances and works well with all of your flavor components, even citrus and peppermint. The price? Reasonable! Vanilla will always be a bit pricey due to it's origin, but don't let that lead you to using it so sparingly. It always produces excellent results and the quality of flavor really matters to me in my recipes.

First off, if you are looking for a large quantity of excellent, affordable vanilla, just go ahead and get this. The good - Flavor and aroma are divine. What more is there to ask? This is a fraction of the price per ounce that you are likely to find at a grocery store, for real, genuine, ethically sourced vanilla extract. The meh - Maybe I am being picky, but this bottle is slightly annoying. The mouth is pretty large, so its kind of cumbersome to pour small amounts. I think this bottle would be greatly improved if Heilala could add a small restrictor the the inside of the mouth, to slow the flow. Don't get me wrong, it's not impossible to pour, but if you are regularly measuring under half a tsp, you may be slightly annoyed. The bad - No bad! This is great stuff Overall, I am very satisfied with this extract for the price. It's higher quality than I am used to, and very affordable by comparison to the little bottles at the grocery store.

I love this stuff! I cannot tell any different from my $40 dollar vanilla and this. Call me crazy but I'll never not have this in my pantry again! This is the new staple. I bake a lot and go through a container of vanilla like this every couple months and we love this stuff! Just like the store bought vanilla. I was shocked because some of the reviews on this are pretty bad but I rather like this and don't taste any difference.

I was out of my usual vanilla, and it was going to take more time than I had to get it, so I tried this one because it would arrive in a timely fashion. It is very good. It’s so good, in fact, I’m considering changing, because it is also less expensive

Should have known it was too good to be true for the relatively low cost. It is weak, with a stranger bitterness and with a minty finish reminisince of weak canned A&W rootbeer or rootbeer extract. Already getting heartburn from the latter. Tired of being scammed or overpaying for weak/adultered vanilla extracts/flavorings, so next step is rolling my own with glycerine and pods which will work out to be about $1/ounce.
