Bali Women's One Smooth U Underwire Bra with Lace Side Support

I am a nursing mother who just wants a nice "regular" bra to supplement my lactating mama undergarment collection. I don't like thin fabric in the cups because- as a nursing mother- it seems like the "headlights are always on," but I also don't need ANY extra padding either. I don't like spagetti type straps because those dig into my shoulders and make me look like I have more shoulder fat than I do. I hate narrow straps around the back because those emphasize my back flab more than I consider necessary. I like non-underwire, yet I seem to get a much better lift WITH underwire.Soooo...that's why I'm so happy with this bra. I've tried for 8 years to find a nice, NON-nursing bra that holds me in completely and comfortably. The Bali Smooth U Side support bras are what I've been waiting for all this time. I love that I can fit (I mean, REALLY fit! Not "squeeze"!!) into a regular bra and feel smooth, lifted, and secure. The side coverage is perfect- it holds in all that armpit "flab" breast tissue, but doesn't stick out in the armpits of all my shirts like some bras do. That added side coverage allows for a better fit overall, so I don't find myself squeezing out unevenly in the middle of the bra. The straps are perfect size- not so thin that they slice into my skin, but not so wide that it's clear my breasts need super support to be held up. I can wear a regular tank top and the straps remain covered by my shirts. The back is wide enough to tuck in the back fat, but not so wide that it takes away from the attractiveness of the design. I feel like the lace on the bra gives it enough "pretty" factor so it's not just a plain, simple bra, but it's not quite enough to be sexy...if that's what you're looking for. The cups are thick enough that I feel I get adequate coverage, but they don't have added padding that makes me look like my milk supply has started over and come in new all over again. And as for the nursing mama aspect- I've found I can either pull the cup down, or lift it up above my breast to nurse my baby, neither way putting pressure on my breasts, so it works nicely.

If they just made this bra in a 32D, my search would be over. It is so comfortable, and it molds to your body nicely. Great coverage, and great support. I am keeping this to wear until I can find one that really fits me perfectly, and then I'll use it occasionally. But the cup is just slightly too small, although the band is slightly too big. So my search goes on.The back is great, and prevents the "back fat" problem. Honestly, the nicest bra I have worn in years. Seems to be high quality, and I need the side support. I'd prefer even a little more support on the sides, but this is nice, really nice. I probably need a bit more side support than average, though, so don't let that stop you from trying this one. And did I say it's comfortable? It is!UPDATE: I have had these for over a year, and now I can't imagine why I didn't think they were perfect to begin with. I think there is always a short time of adjustment when I buy new bras, and have to get used to the new fit. I ended up liking them so well that I bought a total of six, so that they would last me a while. (I hate shopping for bras.) They are the best bras I have ever had. Ever. Bali just seems to be the brand that fits me best. (I do hope that Bali comes out with this in a 32D, because I'd like to see what the fit would be). Washing these a few times has seemed to make them fit perfectly, though. One reviewer said that she didn't think this bra was smoothing on the sides, but at least for me, it really does support and smooth the sides. If you are built so that you are spaced wide apart, then when putting on this bra, it helps if you "pull yourself together" --- I mean, make sure each of the girls is adjusted to be fully INSIDE the cup.

I purchased two of these bras and I am very happy with them. The bra is a very comfortable fit; no binding, pinching, or "scratchiness" and no gaping areas around the usual places. The straps stay adjusted and the back doesn't ride up during wear. Yes, this bra has thick cups. When I read the reviews before purchasing I was afraid that I would be receiving bras that had really thick padding. That is simply not the case. The thickness of the cup is just enough to hold it's shape and to avoid those embarassing "Gee, are you cold?" moments. Being a curvey, middle aged gal, I appreciate a bra that supports me, doesn't require fidgeting to constantly readjust where it is, and that I can wear with a tee shirt without embarassment. This is that bra.I have to admit that I have always been a fan of Bali. I had a professional fitting last year (go get one if you haven't, you will be amazed at the difference in wearing a correctly sized bra) and the fitter explained to me that the average woman will usually find only two or three brands that will really fit her shape. Weight loss or gain, child birth, and gravity all take their toll on our bodies so we cannot always rely on wearing the same band or cup size. All brands are not created equal. If Bali is one of the brands that you have loved before, try this bra!
