What is the sampling rate of this sensor?

During calibration, I only see orange led and nothing else. How do I calibrate?

I only see one button? Where is the other one? In instruction it says two buttons?

Can this sensor return absolute position? i.e. If I turn the sensor on in some random orientation, will the sensor know what position it is in?
