So far I love these poles
I actually didn't read the reviews because I had already bought some at Lowe's. When I was going to write my review then I read the reviews already posted. I was surprised about the 1 star reviews. How could it go bad for a plastic coated stick?I haven't had these for a season yet so maybe I'll change my tune. I was hoping these would last several years. I know they're fairly cheap but who wants to keep shelling out money for a stick? I will take head and store these in a shelter over winter. Maybe they'll last longer. I am using them with my tomatoes that are planted in large grow bags. My soil is soft so they probably won't bend unintentionally. These poles are the perfect size to use with the plastic hinged garden clips (the small, circular ones). The clips can fit around the pole and vine with growing room to spare. So, for now I am happy. I also was glad this was a Prime item because I needed these in a timely manner. They arrived in two days. It was surprising they were available because they're 6 ft. But, it seems you can find almost everything on Amazon. Thank you.

Great Value for Good Sturdy Garden Stakes
Great sturdy stakes that last literally YEARS longer than bamboo. I can buy them locally at $4.99 each!!!! Yikes, I can't believe I did that! These are the very same stakes, made by the same company. I was delighted to find them on Amazon and get free shipping too. If you need more than one or two garden stakes this is certainly the way to buy them. I find that I use them for all kinds of things, not just outdoors in the garden. If you have this big bulk package and you need smaller stakes for your indoor plants, you can bend these several times in the same spot and get them to snap into smaller pieces (I have never had this happen by accident though, you have to make an effort to snap them). I guess you could just use a hack-saw but the 'snap' method has always worked well for me.

Great stakes. Metal. But count them!
Great stakes. Metal, hollow core, coated in plastic. They can bend, so always be careful when pushing them into the soil to keep them straight. They typically last a few years... until water starts getting in through a pinhole in the coating, and then rust degrades them, eventually causing them to break. But they last much longer than stakes made of bamboo or other materials. I use them for staking my indeterminate tomatoes.Update: I just finally opened my last package I received a year ago (March 2020) since I wound up not needing them until this month and there were only 19 in the package instead of 20. I should have opened them when I received them, but just stored them until needed, still in their shipping wrapper which I couldn’t see through. Don’t make the same mistake! Open and check your order immediately.

Plant Stakes
Great value for Garden stakes to cover up plants before winter. Easy to put in the ground and stand up. Clips sold seperately.

Sturdy and strong
These worked great for my garden. Easy to place in the ground and helped keep my tomato plants stabilized. We’ve had several major storms and they’ve never moved.

Good, strong stakes!
These were very easy to push into the ground and are holding up some very full tomato plants. Good product!

Support the tall growing plants
Pro: 6ft length, medium thicknessCon: NoneUsage: Need to support many plants that grow beyond the 4ft stakes I was using. Medium thickness allowed me to use the versatile tomato clips. These are used for new raspberry bushes that grow quite tall (even beyond these six foot stakes)

Don’t bend or it will snap
There’s just a hallow tube of metal in there so if you bend it will snap has a tiny bit of bend but then it just snaps will be good for just using as poles and trellises not good if you have harder ground like clay unless your careful...I broke a few on our clay ground. The wind just snapped a few also lol these will work for now but I don’t think these are permanent option
